no one's pov

growing up valkyrie cain, wasn't allowed to go outside and have fun. she was never allowed to go out with 'friends'. hell she didn't even have friends.

she wasn't afraid of what was on the outside. her parents were. her father used to be a wolf hunter.

as he was out hunting one day, he stumbled nate maloley's father. at the time nate wasn't born either.

nate's father told valyrie's father right before he got shot, "you kill me, something will happen to that child of yours."

valkyrie's father obviously didn't care and didn't believe him, shot him.

at the age of nine, nathan's mother told nate about his father and promise what he must do, and nate being the young, naive, little boy agreed.

a few weeks after, valkyrie cain was born.  her father and mother were scared for their lives. they had to protect their little girl.

by the age of twelve, they told val why she shouldn't go out or wander off from their side. she cried and cried, just wanting a little bit of freedom.

and everyday from then on, her parents warned her over and over again, "there's a wolf in the woods. don't go near there. he eats children."

but she was now sixteen. she was strong, and bold and independent and thought she could do what she wanted.

while everyone was sleeping, valkyrie snuck out the house. running as fast as possible so no one can catch her before getting to the woods.

it was a full moon. the wind was howling, but that wasn't the only thing howling.

in fear, val turned around to see if anyone was behind her before she heard the noise of someone landing on the ground in front of her.

she turned around slowly, her breath hitching at the very attractive boy in front of her.

"you shouldn't be here." a stern look on his face.

"w-who are you?" she stuttered. he took a step closer to her. his long fingers putting the strand of blonde hair behind her ear.

"you shouldn't be here." she gasped as he growled.

"it's a full moon. haven't your parents ever told you not to come into the woods on a night of the full moon?" he whispered.

"y-yes." coming out of her mouth inaudibly.

"what's a pretty girl doing here when her parents told her not to?" he caressed her cheek softly.

natw thought she was extremely beautiful. she wasn't just pretty.

"i-i. just who are you?" she began but couldn't finish.

"oh, baby girl. i'm the big bad wolf your parents warned you about." his eyes turning red.

"i have to go." she gasped. he grabbed her arm. "you're not leaving." he smirked.
