There I sit, alone in the shadows

Watching you dance in the light

Hoping you'll see me here watching

And grab my hand to dance with me tonight.

Fading whispers of hope, and pointless dreams of love

Burying my thoughts in capsules of fear

Or looking to the sacred skies above

Only to shed one more tear.

You grab me by the hand, you grab me tight

You pull me to a stand under the moonlight.

I look into your eyes. You look into mine.

A perfect realization, together we'll shine.

The moon shines high, casting rays of majestic light.

There are no more shadows, only perfect sight.

I stop, and feel a burden pass by.

What if they should see us? And I start to cry.

You put your hand on my face, and wipe away the tears.
