Chapter 21: New Pet

Winter's POV

I wake up to an empty bed. I sigh and look at the bedside clock.
12:52! Damn I slept in late.
'Xanderrrr where are youuu' I whine at him.
' I'm in my office babe. Are you hungry? I can you something if you'd like ' he offers.
' I'd love some ' I say.
I get off the bed and take a shower.
I put on some jean shorts and a plain red tshirt. I walk downstairs to a wonderful smell.
Bacon.
I quietly walk up behind him so he doesn't hear me and wrap my arms around his waist pressing my face to his back.
"Good morning" I say inhaling his scent.
"Good morning" he says taking the bacon off the pan and turning around in my grasp.
He leans down and begins kissing my neck. I moan lowly which makes him growl.
He pushes me up against a wall like always and starts rubbing the skin that showed when my shirt rose up. I jump up and wrap my legs around his waist.
He starts his way upstairs and into our room. He lays me down on our bed hovering over me.

I wake up in bed with Xander's arm wrapped around me.
I blush when I remember what happened a few hours ago.
I feel Xander shift next to me. He wakes up and turns me around in his grasp.
"Morning beautiful" he says.
"Morning? What time is it" I ask looking at the clock "1 am? Seriously? I'm not even tired" I say.

"Wanna go for a walk?" He asks getting off me.
"Sure" i say getting up and walking towards our closet.
I put on some leggings and a tshirt with one of Xander's sweatshirts.
I brush my teeth and pull on some tennis shoes.
I walk back out to find Xander shirtless and I swear I start to drool.
"Like what you see?" He asks turning around.
"Yes very much" I say looking him up and down.
"We aren't going anywhere if you keep acting that way" he says lowly and I chuckle.
He walks into the closet and I head downstairs to grab an apple.
A couple minutes later my apple is finished and Xander is downstairs fully clothed.
We walk outside hand in hand.
After what I'm guessing is 25 minutes I notice a clearing up ahead so we walk there.
It's a beautiful spot with a little lake and a cliff off to the side.
We lay down and start to star gaze.
"Do you know constellations?" He asks me as I snuggle in closer.
I scoff "no"
"Me neither" he say wrapping an arm around my shoulder.
"I love you" I say.
"I love you too" he says kissing my forehead.
"What do you see in the future?" I ask him.
"What do you mean?"
"I mean what do you want in the future?"
"A beautiful family with you and four pups"
"Four? That's a lot" I say smiling.
"Yea well I want one girl and three boys. The little girl will be protected by her older brothers and it will be perfect" he says and I can feel him smiling.
"What about two boys and two girls. So that everyone has a brother and a sister"
"That would be wonderful too. Whatever happens I will love our family unconditionally" he says.
"Me too. Do you know what I just realized?" I ask.
"What"
"We only have one week of school left" I say smiling.
"Ya we do" he says "ugh but it's tomorrow"
"I know but it's only four and a half days" I say.
"It still sucks though" I say.
"Guess what" he says.
"What"
"My 19th birthday is the day after school ends" he says smiling.
"Wow. What do you want?" I ask. "Don't worry you don't have to get me anything I have a surprise for you instead. The answer will be my birthday present"
"Ok?" I say wondering what it is.
"Don't ask any questions I won't answer them"
"Fine" I huff and then giggle.
"What's so funny?" He asks.
I sit up"that bunny over there he's scratching his ear and it's adorable" I say and he did up too.
"Talk to him" he says.
"Excuse me? Bunny? Hi can you hear me?" I ask it.
He bounces over to us. "Yes I can my name is Darla and must I say you are almost an exact replica of her" she says and looks at my features.
"Who am I am exact replica of?" I ask.
"Well your grandmother of course. She is a fox just like you, you know. I used to be her pet before and after she turned. When she turned I talked to her and she freaked out and put me in the woods" she sighs at the end.
"Oh I'm sorry. You can come to our house if you'd like. We have a huge backyard" I say giggling referring to the house that me and Xander live in.
"I'd love to if it's not to much of a hassle" she says.
"Don't worry about it" I say.
"Well thank you so much the wildlife is so hard I mean some days I go without food cause I can't find berries" she sighs.
"Well I'll pick you up and we can head back home" I say.
"Ok thank you again and if I'm any hassle you can through me out don't worry I can make do I'm still young only sixty two" she says and I gasp.
"Bunnies aren't stopped to live that long only to about ten years" I say.
"I'm special don't judge" she says. I giggle then pick her up.
"What did she say?" Xander asks.
"Not much. Just that I look like my grandmother. She used to be my grandma's pet and she sixty two years old. Oh and special since they are only supposed to get about ten years old" I say.
"New pet?"
"Yep"
