•Kaylin's POV•
"What outfit should I were to Josh's party?" Margo asks cheery."The right one. I love how the black skater skirt goes with your football tee shirt. The maroon color of it goes well with the skirt." I say admiring Margo's outfit.
"Now what are you going to wear to your cutie batooties party?" Margo asks as she rubs her shoulder against mine.
Josh is throwing a party for winter break and is inviting everybody in our grade, even Sarah Reynolds. Sarah Reynolds has always treated me like garbage every since the third grade when she moved here. Every boy fell in love with her. She treated everyone that was different from her like trash.
"Im not sure. I need to go shopping my closet is ugly." I say as I think about my clothes in my closet. Out of no where I hear a horrific scream coming from Margo's mouth. I fall to the floor hitting my head on her closet door knob.
"Ouch! What the hell Margo?! Why did you scream?" Damn, who knew a door knob could hurt so bad?
"Uh, shopping stupid. We can go shopping!!" Margo jumps up and down clapping her hands. "Are you hurt?" She stops and gives me a puzzled look.
"Nope, I'm just sitting here rubbing my head with aching pain running through me. I'm good." I say sarcastically as I slowly raise myself.
"Ok good." Margo plops down on her bed and types on her phone. I give her a look that says 'are you serious? I'm going to kill you.' She doesn't notice because she's busy on her phone.
"You're great." I say as I sit next to Margo.
"Thanks." She says without lifting her head.
"I was just kidding. My head really hurts and you didn't even notice!" I stand up and face her.
"Look, I'm really sorry Kaylin. Max has been texting me non-stop telling me how he can't wait to see me at the party. He even said he has a surprise for me!" Margo wiggles her eyebrows as she says the last sentence.
I cock an eyebrow and say, "Two weeks, you've guys have been together for two weeks and he already has a 'surprise' for you?" My head is pounding I can hardly hear my own thoughts.
"Why did you emphasize on surprise?" Margo gives an attitude look.
"It's obvious. Special surprise in a secluded room. Never mind, sorry. Let's go shopping." I say quickly.
"Okay. It's cool." Margo says taking my sincere(sort of) apology.
"Can I have an ice pack before we leave? I can't hear my own brain functioning anything."
"Sure," we walk to the kitchen and grab an ice pack for my head. I get into the passenger seat as Margo starts the engine. "Do you really think that's the surprise Max is going to give me?" Margo looks at me with wide puppy dog eyes.
"I'm not sure, I just said that because, well, I don't know why I said that." I look down at the ice pack I'm holding in my hand.
"Oh." Margo relaxes into the seat and a few seconds later we back out the drive way.
We arrive at the mall and Margo finds a spot to park. I leave the ice pack in the car and walk next to to Margo. The first store we enter is Hollister. I look around at the skinny jeans while Margo goes over to the skirts. I pick out a pair of white skinny jeans and a sunflower crop top. Margo scurries over to me with a light pink skater skirt and a black skin tight shirt with elbow length sleeves.
"Is that for me?" I ask Margo pointing to myself.
"Yes, is that for me?" Margo says pointing to the outfit in my hand.
