Sensei? Do you know why the sky is blue?

3rd PoV
The group returns to Abydos with mixed feelings. Frustration bubbling inside them as Ayane greets them with a sullen expression.
"Ah... Welcome back..." she barely muttered, staring at the table, eyes dull and distant.
Serika slumps on her chair while covering her hands, her breaths becoming ragged each second before she pulls her hair in sheer frustration.
Nonomi quietly moves near the window and sighs, eyes staring at the sea of desert ahead, the sunken buildings made her hands clench in anger.
Shiroko simply observes them from the doorway, putting down her bag on a chair before she quietly made her exit, to get some fresh air.
But as she turns by the hallway, she sees Y/N Sensei there, leaning on the railing and staring at the empty yard below the school building.
Shiroko opens her mouth, and as hesitated to call his name Y/N had already sensed her from behind his back.
"Shiroko." he spoke rather coldly, slightly making her flinch as the wolf girl stands next to him. But what Shiroko didn't expect is Sensei, taking a cigarette break.
He turns his head, as Y/N notices her eyes blinking in surprise. "Oh, sorry. I do smoke when I'm nervous or distracted." he chuckles slightly and throws the last of it onto the yard by a flick of his finger, a puff of smoke escapes his lips softly. "You want to talk to me, right?"
Shiroko just bobs her head.
"I know what you're thinking." he sneered. "This isn't her fault. Nor the previous student council president. You were all tricked, by..." he paused, "-adults that manipulated you to give your lands to them. Adults who used Abydos, when they got the opportunity."
Y/N's cerulean eyes stares at the distant desert, the hot winds blowing through his blonde hair as he let out a heavy sigh.
"I will find a way, Shiroko. You, the girls, Hoshino, you don't need to sacrifice your time, and your life to pay those Kaiser bastards..." he stated. "And don't look solemn, yeah?" he turns around and ruffles her silver hair, smiling faintly. "This is a job of an adult, a responsibility you shouldn't have to do."
