It had been a few hours ever since the chase, but for her, it felt like days. Her plan was probably the stupidest plan she had ever thought of. Why? She was suppose to find a neighboring pack and ask for help, but here she was, cold, hungry and lost. She wanted to ask for assistance, but no creature was in the area nor in sight, or so she thought.
Letting out a huff, she slowly came to a halt. Her appearance was a mess. Her fur was covered in twigs, leaves and mud. Anyone who would have saw her would have thought that she was a monster and would run away in fear, causing a bunch o new rumors to spread about the woods she was now in. Sighing, Bernn closed her eyes and concentrated on turning back into her human form. She felt her paws returning to hands and feet, her tail was slowly disappearing and so was her wolf ears. As soon as she was back to normal and human again, she sat down and slumped back on the tree behind her.
A hiss left her lips as pain shot out from her arm. Remembering the wound she had gotten earlier, she turned her head to the side and lifted her left arm. By the time she saw the wound, a few strings of curses came out of her mouth. It was covered in mud and dirt, and she knew it wouldn't take long for it to get infected. She could've cleaned it, but there was no source of water around her nor could she hear any running water nearby.
A groan escaped her throat as the headache she had started to become worse, and it didn't take long before her vision started to blur. She felt like fainting, but at the same time wanting to vomit. Maybe this was the consequence for not eating for those past months or for taking some of those random pills she found in the drawers.
"I'm going to die," she thought, a bitter-sweet smile making its way to her features. "And I won't be bring anymore burden to others anymore." At least now she knew she could finally rest in peace and can make those tormentors of hers happy. Before the darkness could engulf her into the abyss, she heard the sound of rustling leaves and caught a glimpse of two men walking towards her. A warning growl left her throat before everything went black.

Bernn smiled in content. Despite of having a rough day, the feeling of having to wake up to a beautiful morning and a soft bed was something she had always wanted. And right now was one of those times. The fluffy pillow that was under her head, soft sheets and a warm blanket was quite relaxing. If only everything would be like this.
Wait...BED?!?!
