"And I think you're right," he said, his voice eerilycalm. "This isn't about love. It's about power. And right now, all the power is mine."
I swallowed hard, my throat dry. "And if I give you what you want?"
"Then," he leaned in closer, his breath a warm caress against my cheek, "I might consider letting him go, Unharmed. Submit to me, and I might let him live." He said, his voice cold and emotionless. "Fight me, and I'll make sure he suffers for every second you resist."
Jungkook stepped back, his hand hovering over the phone. "One phone call, Taehyung. That's all it would take. And your precious Jimin would be nothing but a memory." His eyes searched mine, looking for the flicker of fear that would make him feel in control again.
Trembling, I nodded, tears streaming down my cheeks. "I'll do whatever you want," I whispered, hating the desperation that coated my words. "But you have to promise me—you won't hurt him. Please, Jungkook, I'm begging you."
For a moment, his expression softened, and I dared to believe that he cared enough to spare Jimin. But the coldness quickly returned, his eyes narrowing as he studied me. "You love him that much?" he murmured, almost to himself.
I nodded again, my voice barely a whisper. "Yes, I do."
Jungkook's gaze remained on me for what felt like an eternity before he finally spoke. "Okay, I won't hurt him," he said, his voice devoid of emotion.
My eyes searched his, looking for any sign of sincerity. "And what about me?" I managed to ask, my voice shaking. "What happens to me after this?"
He smirked, the cruelty in his eyes growing brighter. "One month," he declared. "One month with me. That's the price for your defiance."
"One month," I croaked, the words sticking in my throat like a mouthful of sand. "But..."
"One night isn't enough anymore," Jungkook said, his smile growing colder with each word. "But one month, that's a fair price for your little act of rebellion. Even though I got bored easily," he continued, his voice like silk over shattered glass. "But you've proven to be quite the challenge. So, I'll entertain this...relationship for a month."
The room seemed to close in around me as the weight of his words sank in. A whole month under his control, a month of playing his twisted games, a month of pretending to be something I wasn't. It was a prison sentence wrapped in the guise of a bargain.
"But what about after that?" I pressed, desperation seeping into my tone. "You'll let me go?"
"We'll see," he said, his tone non-committal. "If I'm satisfied, if I feel that you're no longer a threat to me, then perhaps."
I knew what he meant. He wouldn't let me go unless I broke completely, unless he was certain he had won. And even then, there was no guarantee of freedom. The walls of the room felt like they were closing in, suffocating me. But I had to do it—for Jimin, for the love that Jungkook could never understand.
"Ok," I said, my voice hollow. "I'll do it. But please let him go."
Jungkook's smirk grew wider, his eyes gleaming with triumph. He leaned in closer, his breath warm on my neck as he whispered, "But if you tried betraying me, Taehyung, if you even think of leaving before the month is over, I won't just hurt him. I'll make sure you never see him again."
The threat sent a chill down my spine. I could feel his fingers digging into my skin, the promise of pain in his touch. "I won't," I murmured, trying to keep my voice steady.
He stepped back, his grip on my wrists loosening. "Good," he said, his voice cold.
Jungkook looked around the room we were in, as if suddenly aware of the starkness of our surroundings. "This isn't the place we should continue," he said, his eyes flicking to the closed door. He took a step back, pulling me along. "Come, I've prepared a more... suitable environment for you."
