This and then the epilogue. Heheh.
"Hello my Tomlinsuns," Louis greeted into the video, but he was interrupted when Silas called his name.
"Dada."
The camera shook a little as Louis adjusted it, angling it down to capture his tiny toddler clutching the handle of the shopping cart. Silas was rocking a Spiderman tee, curls peeking out from under a beanie, blue eyes wide as he glanced at the shelves lined with snacks and little treats. He looked just like Harry.
"Silas, baby, I have important news to tell our fans," he explained. "Please let me, okay?"
"Okay," Silas hummed.
"Alright, bud," Louis said, grinning as he zoomed in on Silas' chubby cheeks. "We're on a mission. Papa is starting his new job soon, so we're gonna make him the best basket ever. Think he'd like some chocolate?"
Silas looked up at him and blinked. "Papa." He reached out towards the nearest shelf, and Louis laughed at him, plucking up a fancy-looking box of truffles and dropping it into the cart.
"Good choice," Louis grinned, ruffling Silas' hair. "He's currently at the school right now setting up his new room and meeting the other teachers—being all cute and shit so we're making him a congratulations basket for when he gets home."
Next he steered them toward the stationery aisle. "Now, what about a cute notebook? Papa loves makin' lists."
Silas seemed more interested in chewing on the neckline of his shirt, but his Louis grabbed a sleek, leather-bound journal anyway, flipping it open to admire the pages before adding it to the growing pile of goodies.
The camera shook again as he adjusted it while pushing the cart. "And we gotta get him somethin' to help with stress—'cause he's gonna be workin' hard. Hm, maybe a bubble bath?" Louis then grinned. "Oh, I adore taking baths with him."
"Bubbles!" Silas clapped.
"Bubbles it is." Louis grabbed a bottle of lavender-scented bath soak and then swung the camera back to himself. "Alright, I think we're about set. Chocolate, notebooks, candles, tea—'cause, you know, can't function without it—and..."
"Papa," Silas babbled.
"Yes, papa," Louis agreed with a smile. "We love papa so much we could cry, right?"
Silas smiled all toothy and gummy. "Papa love."
Chuckling, Louis continued pushing the cart forward. "Alright my Tomlinson's, stay tuned for when we surprise Harry. He'll probably cry," he narrated to the camera, smirking at the thought. He went and grabbed a cute frog plush animal and threw that in. "He'll also probably want to fuck after so I'll let you guys know how that goes."
"Dada, bad" Silas then said.
"Right," Louis chuckled, "Bad words. Not supposed to say them around you," he sighed heavily, next grabbing a to-go coffee cup that he thought was cute. "Harry will probably divorce me if you start cussing."
"Papa?" Silas questioned.
Louis smiled as he reached over to pinch Silas' cheek. '"Yeah, we're surprising papa and then him and I are probably going to be baby making after. Is that okay?"
"Okay," Silas laughed.
Louis shook his head and turned the camera back on himself. "I love when my son approves of me doing dirty things to his papa."
"Papa, love."
Louis' grin widened. "Yes, papa loves you." He then turned back to the camera. "Check out part two of the surprise. Bye my Tomlinsuns. And screw anybody that calls themselves Stylers."
