Agastya left without saying anything. I sat in the balcony, frustrated with everything that had happened in less than 24 hours. I may act like I'm oblivious to Agastya's words but I'm not. I should stop drinking and creating chaos like this. It's 50% my fault for saying all that to Agastya. But I didn't know it would effect him even a bit. I've known him to be a gentleman-y fuckboy. You know the guy who respects women he sleeps with.
Did me saying that I'd leave effect him a little bit? Or is he off with Madhura having a celebratory champagne? I don't even know if Agastya actually wanted to be with me or just want to fuck around!
What did he mean when he said his heart was 16 again when its me? At 16, you are full of love. You have hell of a lot of hope. You are impulsive. You take risks. At 22, you are the more responsible. Rational. Stable. What he means is---What I think he means is that Agastya's heart feels the same for me even after all these years.
The day passed and Agastya didn't return. I called Rishikesh.
"Heyy Rishi...is Agastya with you?
"Me? Umm no. Haven't heard from him since we left his apartment. Why?"
I explained everything to him and I also learnt that he was at the marine drive at 10pm with Rama......Thats...unexpected. What are they? Are they dating? Are they ever gonna properly tell us what they are?
"Okayyy love birdsss! Any more updates on your life?"
"Oh yeah. We'll be going to a kitchen decor shop tomorrow for the food truck. You wanna jump in?"
Rama asked
"As a third wheel?"
I could sense them blushing on the other side of the phone
"Noo...Like yeah...I need opinions for the truck you know."
Rishikesh added and I agreed. I went to sleep but Agastya's thought didn't leave my mind.
The next day I went to help Rishikesh and it was a quite productive day actually. We finalized his decor. We made a map of where kitchen would be, the freezer, fridge, decorations and all. It was quite the heavy day.
Again at 10pm I stared at the door expecting Agastya to walk in. And then the door bell rang. I hurriedly opened the door 100% sure that its Agastya
"Kaha the tum Agastya---"
I asked without even opening the door completely. It was his dad.
