DAY 8
Yesterday, Harry told me to find the mayor of the town and request him to grant the witch her rights and leave then leave her alone. Harry also warned me about more spirits involved in this situation. The spirits were supposed to protect the curse from ever being REVERSED as the curse was supposed to last for eternity with no power in the world ever changing it, but I think that we may have CHEATED the curse by going back in time. These spirits are supposed to protect the curse from time travellers (or CHEATERS) like us.
So today, after having our breakfast, we decided to go meet the mayor.
When we went to the place Harry had told us about, we weren't expecting to see so many people there. Due to further investigation, we realised that lot of people come here everyday to meet the mayor. They all need appointments to get in the building, which we didn't have. Cath pointed to a ladder at the side of the building which led to the roof. Her idea was to get in through the roof and then meet the mayor. I decided to go with that plan as that was the only thing we could have done then. After a while of climbing, I felt something pulling my leg. I decided to ignore it and resume climbing. Cath got on the ladder first and so was at the top first. I was just about to get on the top when something yanked me off the
ladder !!!!
It would have been a 5 - storey fall if Catherine wouldn't have grabbed my hand and pull me up with all her might. The moment I got up there, she hugged me tight saying that I was the only one left after mom and dad, and that she could never let anything happen to me. After a while of recovering from the shock, we got back up, ready to continue our work.
When we got in, we snuck to the mayor's office. I was just about to open the door when a hand grabbed my shoulder. I spun around and gazed at the face of a guard. He started taking me and Cath towards the door when I screamed at the top of my voice about leaving the witch alone. I just hope the mayor had heard me. After that the guard threw us on the ground and warned us about never coming back again. After sometime Cath looked at me and asked, "How come you fell from the ladder ?". I told her about slipping. I didn't want to make her worried about a spirit being after me. We..ll, she knew I was lying, after all, I was the best at climbing in the family and had never slipped in the past 2 years. I had no fear of heights, I loved to hang on high things. Well, after some explaining, she believed that I had slipped.
I just hope I never see that spirit again.....
