It was a rainy day and the Gem War was still raging on. Rose was standing on a cliff that over looked the battle field, three gems by her side.
"Druzy," she started," I need you to recue the captives of our army from Homeworld's base. Pearl, Garnet, I need you to come with me please."
" Yes ma'am!" Druzy replied.
She took a running start, then leaped off of the cliff, transforming into a hawk. She flew to Homeworld's base, and hovered over it. There were some enemy gems gaurding the jailing area, having suspicions about the hawk above them, but walked off minutes later. She swooped down and into the area, reverting back to her normal form. She walked through the rows of prisoners, seeing the insignea on their clothing and labling the as Homeworld traitors like them, but they weren't the ones who fought on either side. Then, he spotted a new prisoner from Homeworld, one she hadn't ever seen. No insignea was spotted on her clothing anywhere, meaning two things, she was a comrade Druzy'd never seen, or she was one of the others.
" Yo Druzy!" A fellow gem exclaimed.
He rushed down to the cell and picked the lock, soon setting the gem free.
" Thanks, there's a few more gems here, but they're just from Homeworld, they're not worth it." The gem said," Especially not the girl behind you..."
" Not...worth it?" Druzy said, confused," Hey, you're a traitor, right?"
The girl nodded, looking at the black-skinned (I Don't mean to be raceist if it sounds like it!) Gem before her.
" That's what we are! Traitors who've started a rebelion against Homeworld and it's ways! What's your name?" Druzy asked.
" Purple Topaz..." She said shyly," Your name's Druzy, right?"
" Yeah, but my full name's Black Druzy." She said, contemplating something," Listen, I have a deal, if you don't betray the rebelion, I can let you go, okay?"
" Yes, please, just let me out!" Topaz exclaimed," They said I was to be terminated, but I'd much rather fight against them!"
Druzy smiled and ulocked the lock quickly, but not quick enough it seemed." You! Cease your actions or you will be terminated!" A Homeworld Guard yelled, running towards them.
" Come on, let's get out of here!" Druzy shouted, pulling Topaz's arm as they ran.
Druzy activated one of her abilities; opening a portal. She did so, and appeared before Rose on the cliff.
" Rose, I rescued a prisoner of Homeworld, as well as our own!" She huffed out, taking deep breaths.
Rose offered a hand and she took it, standing up." Did you almost get captured again?" Rose asked," It'd probably be best if you two head back to our temple."
" Alright. Topaz, follow me." Druzy said, leading the girl down the cliff and to a hollowed out area in a huge cliff. In it was a warp pad, and a large door with a star on it, and in the star were symbols of the leader's repective gems." We're going into my room, okay?" She said to Topaz.
She nodded as it opened.
" You two aren't going anywhere!" They heard someone yell.
" Oh no...Jasper" Druzy said," Topaz, do you know how to fuse?"
" Umm...Yeah, I guess..." Topaz answered.
" Alright, we need to fuse to even have a chance againt her, come on!" She said.
The did a successful, yet rushed fusion dance.
The fusion was as tall as Jasper, and only had two arms like Garnet. She had light purple pants, a sleeveless brown shirt, and dark purple skin. Her name...was Basanite. She summoned her weapons, both of which were two-edged swords. She rushed forwards, and slashed at Jasper, but her attack was haulted by her battle axe. Using her helmate, she headbutted Basanite's chest, sending her backwards. This time Jasper lunged at the fusion," You think fusion will help you win?! Fusion is just a cheap tactic weak gems use to make themselves stronger! And I won't be bested in a battle by two weaklings!"
She slashed and hacked at them with her huge battle axe, when it did nothing, she came up with an idea. She swung her axe at the swords bases, and released said axe, causing the sword to come out of Basanite's hands. Jasper then ran back, as prepared her special move; the spin dash. When she unleashed it, she hit the fusion head on, causing them to split apart." Topaz, I can get us out of here, but I don't now where on this world we'll end up since my power's weak!" Druzy shouted.
They both stared as Jasper leaped into the air, weilding her axe once again." Anywhere's better that here!" Topaz shouted.
Druzy quickly opened a portal beneath them, transporting them away. Jasper hit the ground with a thud, staring down at where her targets had once been. She then punched the spot furiously, saying," You won't escape me..."
"...and that's how we knew Druzy, Steven." Garnet said to the boy.
" Woah! That story was cool! All of you sounded so cool!"
" Well...I wasn't exactly there, Steven..." Amethyst said.
" So? You're still cool, even if you weren't around then!" Steven shouted, giving the gems a group hug.
" Aww, thanks Steven!" She said sheepishly.
