I was lost in his eyes. I started to crack a smile. I hadn't smiled since my parents told us we were moving! The boy looked back at me. "Umm...hello?" He said. He was snapping his fingers in front of my face. "Wha-huh?" I said, coming back from my mind to reality. "C'mon girl! Talk to your sister!" Sweater girl said. I sighed, and sat down. So did Iris. I started. "I love you, but you're always telling me what to do and where to be...but somethings need to be decided by me!" I was twiddling my thumbs, and I looked up at Iris. She looked peaceful, yet concerned. "I know you want to be free, but I'm just trying to protect you. Some day you'll get into trouble...and if I didn't tell you anything...I'll feel like it was my fault." Iris was tearing up. "No! If I get in trouble it will NEVER be your fault! It'll be mine!" I put my hand on her shoulder. She sniffed, and looked at me. "Are you sure?" I smiled, and laughed a bit. "Yes! I'm sure!" I wrapped my arms around my sister. Iris was frozen with surprise for a second, then I felt her arms slowly wrap around my back. "I'm sorry for controlling you." I heard her whisper. "I'm sorry for wanting to punch you." I said, not so quietly. I heard her laugh, then she gently pushed my back. "Quit trying to make me laugh!" We both let go, looked each other in the eye, then started giggling uncontrollably. The other twins stood near us, smiling. I looked at them. "Hey! What are your names?" Sweater girl grinned so big her braces looked like ants. "I'm Mabel!" She said, putting both of her hands on her chest. She started bouncing up and down. "And I'm Dipper. Dipper Pines." Iris smiled. "I'm Iris." "And I'm Amanda!" I blurted out. Iris looked at me funny. "Well, what do you say Amanda? Go home and eat great food?" I pretended to think. "Why not!" I said. "Bye! I'll have you guys come over tomorrow!" Mabel said. "I'm fine with that!" I yelled back.
That night, when everyone else was asleep, I crept out my window and climbed onto the roof. As I was climbing, I felt really dizzy. But I kept climbing. (A/N: Amanda is afraid of heights and likes to look at the sky) Once I reached the flat part of the roof, I sat down, and hugged my knees. "Hey Cass." I whispered. Cass was my best friend back home. We used to think we could communicate by whispering at the sky. "It's me, Amanda. Missing you." I looked at the street below. "I think I have a new crush. His name is Dipper Pines. He seems sweet too." I looked back at the sky. "I think I'm in love Cass. This has never happened before. But I don't think he likes me back." I started to tear up, thinking about home. "How-how are things back home? How's Kyle? What about Carter?" Carter was my guy best friend. But now that I think about it, he probably liked me. I let a couple tears fall onto my cheek. "Whisper back soon." I yawned, and looked at my pastel green watch. 12:34. I yawned, and fell asleep on the roof. No pillow, no blanket, no mattress, no nothing. But I didn't need any of that as long as I kept my mind focused on his name, and how he introduced himself. Dipper. Dipper Pines.
