Wukong licked his lips slightly, feeling his mouth water from the smell alone of whatever that was the waitress placed before him. The cake looked cute, it had a thick layer of cream cheese and a soft, spongy bottom of light dough. On top were sliced stone-fruits, placed on the wider part and on the side of the white, porcelain plate, adding an artistic touch to the whole picture. And of course the fruits were the part Wukong was most excited about, as he saw some peaches, plums, nectarines and apricots. On the side the shake also looked delicious. Layers of cream and peach syrup with pieces of peach chopped into small cubes. It had a generous topping of whipped cream and peach slices on top, the whole thing sprinkled with some black chocolate, with a long, white straw with pink stripes going through the whole thing.

He also shot a short glance at Mòchóu's plate as well. Two slices of brown bread in a square shape, had a strong banana scent and honey in the small bowl on the side that matched the storyteller's eyes. His small espresso came with a shot of water, both in a pretty, simple shape, white cups with moon-like ornaments. It looked simple, but in a fancy way, that Monkey King thought fitted the man before him, but he didn't dwell on it too long, as his attention was brought back to his own plate.

The Great Sage picked up a small, silver fork and dug it into his cake. It slid through a soft tissue with no resistance, as he took the first bite. Wukong almost purred as the cream cheese seemed to melt in his mouth. It tasted deliciously creamy and the dough was soft and only slightly sweet, perfectly balancing the sweetness of juicy fruit pieces. One bite and his mouth was hot with saliva, and his tail wagged cheerfully. It had been some time since he had a sweet treat. He even forgot all the world around for a moment there.

Almost forgot what he was here for.

Was it a crime that he wanted to enjoy this moment? Was it so wrong he wished that the man before him was Macaque and the whole world wasn't at threat..? Was it so immoral to let himself enjoy this for a little while?

Just a moment longer. No research. No mysteries. No dead friends. No crazy witches.

Just a-

"Told you, you would like it." Mòchóu smirked, pulling Wukong out of his spiraling thoughts.

"I-" The King of the Monkeys blushes slightly at the remark, and so he clears his thoughts and starts again "It was good." he states, trying to maintain an illusion of being collected and calm. This only makes the storyteller chuckle, as if he was seeing right through his games.

"Good." he hums, and takes a sip of his espresso, his moves are slow and smooth, he's not in any kind of rush. A slight smile reflects on a dancing surface of the bitter, liquid darkness, "I assume it's my turn now?" He pulls Wukong back to reality, this time for good.
