Tyler pushed the space bar on his keyboard and looked at Keoni with an unreadable expression on his face.
"You have potential, Nini. You don't even know it." Tyler said with a chuckle. Keoni took off the headphones and walked over to Tyler. "Really? You think so?"
"I know so, baby. You can freestyle, write your own shit, got the looks and the body. You have the whole nine yards. You can make it. I'm telling you." He said looking up from his laptop. Keoni felt a blush coming on which made her turn her face away, her cheeks turning red.
"I.. thank you, Tyler. That means a lot to me."
"You're welcome, Keoni. You need to stop being so shy and come out of your shell."
"But, how? I've never done this before plus I don't know what I'm doing." Keoni said with a sad tone, sitting down on a bean bag chair. "And that's why I'm here. I have connections. Oh! And, you have a meeting with the Clancy's tomorrow morning."
"WHAT?!"
Tyler laughed at her reaction, nodding his head. "Yeah, I forgot to mention that to you when you landed." He shrugged, turning around in his rolling chair to face Keoni.
"Oh my.. It's really happening now." Keoni whispered to herself, her eyes wailing up. "Aww, look at yo' soft ass crying." Tyler said making Keoni smack her lips, throwing a nearby plastic cup at him. He easily dodged the cup and laughed, shaking his head.
"Way to ruin my mood, Tyler!"
"My fault, ma. I panicked there."
"Panicked? For what?"
"'Cause it looked like you were about to cry." Tyler shrugged making Keoni squint her eyes, getting up from her place on the bean bag. "Don't make me smack the shit outta you." She nudged his head back, Tyler grabbing her arms.
"Man, quit playing!" He exclaimed, biting down on his bottom lip. His hand slid in between in her legs causing Keoni to squeal. "AHT! move that hand!" "Or what?"
Keoni just stared at him, Tyler staring at her before sticking out his tongue, taunting her. Before she could open her mouth, the door opened up and loud noises filled the once semi quiet room.
"Y'ALL BETTER NOT BE FUCKING UP HERE!" Jasper yelled, running in from around the corner before plopping down on the couch. "You need a lock for that door, baby." Keoni giggled as she sat back down on the bean bag, watching as Tyler's friends piled into the room.
"I genuinely do." He replied, nodding his head in agreement.
And just when Keoni's mood started to become better, it was quickly shattered when Crystal walked in.
Keoni looked at Tyler with an "are you serious?" expression on her face causing him to shrug is shoulders. He didn't even know why Crystal was here. He didn't think her being here while Keoni was around was a good idea. His heart sunk at the idea of drama unfolding.
"Hey, Tyler!" Crystal waved, Tyler nodding in her direction before turning his focus back to Keoni's vocals. "What you doing, T?" Travis asked, his hand resting on his seat as Tyler cleared his throat.
"This verse Keoni just did, I'm just listening to it back." He shrugged his shoulders, going back to his favorite bar.
"Keoni, you can rap?" Hodgy asked in surprise as Keoni nodded her head, standing up.
"Babe, can you run that back from the top?" She asked with a bit aggression behind her voice, putting on the headphones. Tyler's heart warmed up at "Babe", but he also felt like it was a jab at Crystal. He didn't even look in her direction.
