*Marks POV*
After about 2 hours of interviews. I had finally chose the girl I wanted to adopt. I told the lady in the front desk." Can I adopt*bleeped out for surprise >:3* The lady flipped through her papers."yep. Let me tell her to pack her stuff and she'll be down here right away." I smiled and sat down.
*Edens POV* All the girls interviewed sat in the main hall waiting to see who was going to go. There were so many of us in the hall, ranging from the ages of 10-14.I was sitting right next to Emily."oh god im so nervous" she said pulling her legs up to her chest. "I rubbed her back"It'll be fine. Maybe one day we'll get adopted, it's just a matter of time." Miss.Barker(The lady from the front desk) Stood at the end of the hall, where the entrance to the office was. The lucky girl who will be adopted today is....
Eden!
Everything slowed down around me. I was in shock. I heard lots of the girls claping. I stood up and saw that Amaya, Trinity, and Brit were pouting. I started to smile. I ran to my bed, upstairs, to grab my small bag and put my stuff that I had in it. I could hear the foot steps of the other girls coming up the stairs. Each person congratulating me as they walked by. I finished packing and heard Emily whisper behind me "I'll miss you" she said as she hugged me. "I'll miss you too. I will find you again, I promise." We said our final goodbyes and I grabbed my bag with a few clothes and my lucky necklace in it. "I almost forgot my earcuff" I quickly put on my earcuff and ran to the office.
But I was stopped by Trinity, Amaya, and Brit. "look who's the lucky girl" snapped Amaya."Well, well looks like we won't be seeing you around, Mutt." giggled Brit. "Bye, bye moron." said Trinity. "You're just jealous that I, not YOU, got adopted." I pushed them out of the way to my new life.
I was quickly greeted by a man. He was the same man I met earlier, Mark. I hugged him."Thank you so much. I can't wait to be your daughter" I said holding on to him. He was shocked with the closeness but he hugged me back."I'm happy I get to be your parent(not quite wanting to say dad, just yet.)" Said Mark. "Now let's get you home" I grabbed his hand as he led me to his car. I hopped in the back seat, and soon we drove off.
