The Contest

Chapter Five: Surprises

~RECAP~

His face went to a dark feature and he said in the most serious face, "Evan, would you rather get another two toes cut off or slice Emilys ear? It is your choice." Emily then broke into tears in fear that Evan would choose her, in Evans swift movement had us all in shock, espeically Mr. Hoss.

~PRESENT~

I stood there with my mouth wide open as I saw Evan cut off his other two toes, he seemed to just take the pain and not even scream. I wouldn't be able to handle all that pain, I couldn't even handle being choked I thought while rubbing my throat. "I couldn't hurt Emily, she's a nurse that could help our wounds in the future. Now Emily, could you tend to my wounds right now. I think I'm bleeding out.", Evan dry chuckled. Emily scampered over to where Evan was and started to shout at the other contestant to give her what she needed, after about thirty minutes she stopped what she was doing. She just sat there on her knees with both of her hands to her side; then I started to hear her crying, "he just gave up and died, why did he die? He was fighting and I managed to stop the blood loss." I couldn't take this anymore, I wanted to avenge my mom and figure out all these secrets but I can't with all this death happening all at once. Two people just died, one by my hand, so I decided to face Mr. Hoss and his little steroid puppet. I stood up and walked past Emily and once was alive Evan, I put my face in front of Mr. Hoss just staring at him with the most hardest glare I could muster. I saw Vick reach for his gun but then Mr. Hoss put up his hand settling down his stupid ape, "What is it that you need Bell my boy? Thirsty? Hungry? It is only nine o'clock and you should've eaten before you came." I was done with this game I thought "I want out of here Mr. Hoss, I promise that I won't tell anyone but I just can't stand any of this. How did my mom even go through this?", I shouted at him. "Your mother died in the first round, she was shocked to death by the winner of the last game.", he replied but what surprised me was that I saw sadness and regret in his eyes. "Now sit down or I'll tell Vick to shoot you point blank. I don't want to order that."

Sitting down I still looked at Mr. Hoss with caution, why did he have those emotions shown in his eyes. I need answers and I need to know if he was in any connection to my mom. "Now to round three my contestants, Lucas back to you. Would you rather get ten whacks to your back with a bamboo stick or shock Bellami with this make shift shocking machine? You have twenty seconds to decide.", he said while starting the time. As Lucas was thinking and the time running out I was looking around for an exit or just a window that wasn't boarded up, "how has no one gone to the restroom yet" I thought. Getting an idea I decided to wait till round four to make my move, "I choose the ten whacks sir, but can I stand up for them?" Mr. Hoss didn't look merciful but he nodded in acceptance. "Vick please be ready to give Lucas the ten whacks, do not hold back.", Mr. Hoss explained to his stupid ape. Before Lucas stood up he whispered something in my ear and I just froze in my seat, I didn't even pay attention to him getting beat because of how shocked and angry I was at what he told me. "I was the winner of the last contest" that roamed through my head, I felt like grabbing the stick and whipping Lucas myself. He killed my mom, why the hell is he here playing the game again? Is he here to kill me as well? I knew who my killer was and I was going to get pay back, I then felt someone shake my shoulder and call my name. "Bellami, it's your turn", Liddy said as she pointed to an curious Mr. Hoss. I noticed that I was clawing my nails broke the skin on the palm of my hand causing a little bit of bleeding to occur but I didn't care, I wanted to kill that son of a bitch. "Bell my boy, would you rather give poor Lucas ten whacks or slit your eye open with a razor?", Mr. Hoss said while pulling out a small razor. "I give Lucas ten god damn whacks." I replied with anger laced in my tone, Lucas looked up at me smiling quietly saying, "I had to tell the truth, I was scared that it might not come from me. I deserve it, I can't be around the womans son that I might kill. I just can't.", he explained. My eyes softened as I raised the bamboo stick and slammed down the stick to his back. Each whack felt horribly because I felt his body going more and more limp, I was terrified that I might have killed another person. After I was done no one said anything, Liddy had a expression that looked like she was satisfied almost, I wanted to find out about her. I also wondered what Evans relation was to my mom, so I decided to ask, "Mr. Hoss can you tell me what Evans relation was to my mother. I already know what Lucas did to my mom but I want to know what Evan did." As he knelt down to Lucas, checking his pulse he sighed while responding to my question, "Well Lucas is dead, Vick please take away the body. Now Bell, Evan was having an affair with Evan. You see, Evan was married with three children but behind his wife's back he would have sex and go on dates with your mom. That was the relation." I wasn't surprised to that because I knew my mom had someone in her life but I she never brought him home so I never found out. I nodded and saw that Vick had taken away Evans and Lucas's bodies to another room.

"Liddy, your turn. Would you rather stab Bellmai anywhere below the neck or stab Emily anywhere above the neck? You have fifteen seconds", Mr. Hoss said calmly. Knowing that this was the fifth round I was going to put my plan in act- stopping in mid thought I felt a stinging pain in my left abdomen I looked down and saw a knife in my side. I looked up at Liddy and saw no remorse, I stumbled back and fell forward making the knife go in deeper into my side. Rolling over onto my back I slowly pulled out the knife and threw it to the other side of the room, I rolled my head to the side glancing at Liddy and Emily secretly high five under the table. I had trouble standing but I knew that I was going to be fine, my mom made me study the human body and I knew how deep the knife went in. I grabbed the edge of the table and lifted myself up. Gaining both of their attention I managed to smirk and surprising the two evil bitches by saying, "Still alive bitches. What else do you have for me?"
