Chapter 1

“Do you have anything, yet?” Adam asked, his brown eyes sparkling from the light. His light brown hair was cut short but it was messy like he hadn’t brushed it in days.

“Nothing,” I told him. It had been a few months since we found Sage and we still haven’t located the other person.

“So, we know nothing?” Adam asked.

“If I knew something, don’t you think I would tell you?” I asked him.

“Well, yeah.” He was speechless.

“I don’t understand,” Blake said, walking into the room like he had been there the whole time.

“What is it that you don’t understand?” I asked him. Here we go again.

“You can sense us, right?” He asked. I nodded my head. “So, why can’t you sense him?”

“I don’t know.” I told him truthfully.

“But you’re psychic.”  He said with a glint in his eye. He leaned over me, looking down just to make fun of my height. I’m not short but I’m not extremely tall. I looked next to me at Adam who was my height and gave him a look. He picked up Blake by his shirt with no effort at all.

“You really shouldn’t do that.” Adam told him with a stern look on his face.

“Do what?” Blake asked innocently.

“Hey, what are you guys up to?”  Sage asked, walking through the wall to my right. Adam immediately dropped Blake to the floor.

“Crap. Sorry.” Adam said looking down at Blake who was still on the floor before looking at Sage. “Do you have to do that?”

“It’s fun to scare you.” Sage said, her hazel eyes gleaming in amusement. She was short and had light brown hair with natural blond highlights from being in the sun so much. “So, what were you guys talking about?”

“Audrey’s powers.” Blake answered from the floor.

“I still haven’t heard what your powers are,” Sage said with a smile. I sighed.

“She’s psychic.” Blake said, getting up, rubbing his arm.

“So, you know everything that’s going to happen? That’s so cool.” Sage said jumping up and down.

“Why don’t we know where the other one is?” Blake asked.

“I don’t know everything,” I told them.

“What?” Blake and Sage screamed at me.

“I only know what I see in my visions.”

“Did you have a vision about me?” Sage asked jumping up and down, her hazel eyes gleaming with excitement.

“Yeah,” I told her.

“What did you see?”

“I saw you walking through the wall of Cross High School out into a storm but the storm stopped. I never knew how and I didn’t see your face but I knew you were one of us.” I explained.

“Is that how you knew I could control storms and the weather and being able to walk though anything?” She asked like a little kid hearing a fairy tale.

“I knew that you could walk through walls from the vision but I had no clue that you could control the weather.” I told her truthfully.

“Wow,” she said looking amazed. “What’s your power?” She looked over at Adam.

Adam suddenly disappeared and reappeared in a second across the room holding Blake upside down from his feet. I couldn’t hold in my laughter.

“What the hell?” Blake yelled before he disappeared and reappeared across the room.

“Whoa, how did you guys do that?”

“I went invisible and show off over there,” he said pointing to Blake, “transported his self out of my grasp.”

“That’s so cool! Wait, you have super strength and can go invisible. Blake can transport himself. Am I missing anything?” She asked as a pot came flying across the room and almost hit Adam square in the head.

“You pick me up like that again and next time I won’t hesitate to miss.” Blake yelled at Adam.

“I would like it if you used violence against me, you don’t use your mind to move things” Adam said, rolling his eyes.

“Wait, What?” Sage asked, looking from Adam to Blake.

“He can move things with his mind.” I told her.

“Why don’t you tell her what you can do?” Adam suggested.

“Okay, fine. I can see in pitch darkness, I can see into the future when I get visions, and I can manipulate humans’ minds.” I said with a smile.

“You can manipulate people’s minds? Have you manipulated my mind?” Sage asked frantically.

“I’m sorry. I didn’t specify. I can manipulate ordinary humans’ minds.” I told her.

She took a sigh of relief, nodding her head.

My vision started getting blurry before everything started spinning. I knew this sensation all too well. I was getting a vision.

I followed a tall figure up a set of stairs and out to the top of a roof. They sky was blue and I could see all around. He went to the edge of the roof before looking back. I gasped. He had piercing green eyes and long black hair that covered most of one eye. He smiled like he could see me before turning around and jumping off the building. He didn’t fall like I thought he would.

He was flying. I watched as he flew past a sign. It read

            Bard Boarding School

            Columbus, Ohio

I watched as he flew away from me and into the distance. He was the one we had been looking for. The one that we knew nothing about but now we knew something about him.

The boy with piercing green eyes. The boy who has no name. The boy who can fly.
