Moments of hope

Byeol's POV:

I opened my eyes slowly only to find myself in a large bed with blue curtains on each side. I see a slight shimmer of light from the curtains as I gently pull them to the right with my eyes closed, only to adjust them with the view of my boyfriend sitting there coughing blood on his napkin. My eyes widened as I pulled my blanket with me to wipe his hand, it was silent as I wiped it out of his grasp. That is until I heard him gasp in surprise, I stared up to meet his ruby eyes as he began to wrap his arms around my body, smelling me.

"You're alive!" he gasps in the air, nuzzling his nose close to the weak spot on the side of my neck. I stammered, feeling the heat come off my face, "I-I-I..." I took a deep breath to calm myself still beet red as I began to cry in relief saying,

"I'm glad you're alright, Rai." I hugged back with emotions spilling everywhere. 'This is a lot of emotions I'm sensing from him. He's not neutral like before.'

Rai took a quick look at my face I could tell he was worried about me. After that blast of shock, we encountered last night. But then, his eyes trail down to my hands and once he raises them he looks at me skeptically telling me through my thoughts, 

'Did you know you possess the power of the Bloodstone, Byeol?' his question brought me back to the basement where I met the Lord. I turn my head to hide my face as he patiently waits for my answer.

'Yes...'

'...How?' 

"Do you remember leaving me in your mansion last night?" I spoke out loud for him to hear me.

He nods.

"The Lord told me through his magical presence that I had those powers of the Bloodstone, or more likely a copy of it through blood. But he didn't tell me how I got it other than to show me the conversation you both had about the future of Lukedonia." 

Once I finished my explanation, Rai stayed quiet for a while. I was used to it, and I found it more comforting than a normal human or modified human would. But for some reason, he made me feel anxious.

"What I am is unclear, but we will soon learn more about it, I am sure," I said, hoping to get an answer this time.

Rai then, softens his ruby eyes at me while with his first casual smile, "Well, I hope we will find out more about it when we get home."

"Yeah, I believe we will," I tilt my head to the side as the sun shines brightly on my face I can feel the warmth emanating from the window making Rai lean closer to me as I did with his cool hand bringing me into him. We began with a kind kiss of comfort, it felt right just there as we fit exceedingly well together, lips mingling. Raising me to my feet he twirled me around with a soft smile as I held onto his shoulders. Knowing that our time together will be slow, but we will stay like this until the time we live on. 

'No matter what comes our way, we will end the threats from ruining our happiness. I promise to stay by your side, Rai.' 

Nobody's POV:

While the couple relished being in each other's company, Frankenstein raised to knock on the door but soon saw the happiness his Master was expressing upon Ms Cho. His eyes widen until he realizes, 'I have never seen my Master so happy with anyone apart from myself, but...'

He turns away to cry at the sight before him, happy that his Master would be right with Byeol by his side. 

'They're so perfect for each other.'

While this was happening, The 3 modified humans and the 2 nobles just happened to pass by after they healed themselves. They casually walked in the hallway until they spotted their boss. Frankenstein wipes his tears at the gap in the door to Byeol's room.
