The three were watching the screen in front of Claire and Adelaide could see something was wrong. The raptors had a small talk with the Indominus and seemed to turn against Owen, Barry and the InGen team.

"What's wrong?" Gray asked and Claire shook her head, turning around and covering the screen.

"Nothing, Gray. Everything's perfectly fi—" the woman started, but Zach interrupted her.

"Don't lie to him!" he raised his voice and Adelaide could see fear in Claire's eyes.

"It's okay to lie people when they're scared, and he's scared!" Claire shouted and suddenly, a blood stain that had the shape of a hand appeared on the window on her left, making her scream.

A muffled voice screamed something and Claire closed the gate between them and her, and Adelaide felt her breath stop in her throat. She had realized it was one of the men that worked for InGen, but how would he climb in the truck? He had only two options; the other front seat's door... or the doors that opened in front of them.

The man almost climbed into the back, when a Raptor came and jumped on him, dragging him down. Blood stained the edge of the truck and Gray gripped onto Adelaide's arm, when they all felt the vehicle finally start.

"You okay?" Claire yelled, concerned, and Adelaide screamed assuringly at her boss.

The doors were still open and Adelaide knew they couldn't close them without risking to fall off.

"Crap." Zach muttered and pointed somewhere in the distance, and Adelaide had to squint her eyes to see one of the Raptors run towards them at maximum speed.

"Oh my God, oh my God, oh my God." Gray started mumbling while bringing his knees at his chest as Zach and Adelaide crawled to one of the sides, where various objects were.

"Maybe we could use one of these?" Zach questioned while pointing at a long stick and Adelaide nodded. She had saw one of those on Claire's screen; some InGen men held them.

She grabbed one and the Raptor's claws gripped the edge of the truck, creating a screeching noise that made Adelaide dizzy.

Her hands were frantically searching for the button that would turn it on, and they found it right when the Raptor almost managed to climb into the truck. A small blue light appeared at the opposite end and Adelaide threw it at the dinosaur, causing it to fall down, temporarily paralysed.

"Good job." Zach stuttered and Adelaide rose up, closing the doors as fast as she could.

"I'm so telling mom about this." Gray chuckled and the girl heard Claire's desperate voice, "Please, do not ever tell your mother about this."

"We should write a book," Zach laughed, "called Survival For Dummies."

"Good idea, but we still have to pass the night." she whispered the second part, making sure Gray didn't hear. Her dark humour wasn't very benefic to children in distress.

Zach looked at her confidently, "We will. Because survival is all that matters."

The two reclaimed their seats and Adelaide ran her hand up and down Gray's back, trying to comfort him.

"How's your wound?" Zach inquired worriedly and Adelaide tensed up when she focused on the scratches marking her back; the adrenaline had dissapeared and the pain was now less bearable than before.

"It's okay." the girl almost hissed as she straightened her back.

"You don't look okay." this time, Gray spoke.

"I'll be truly fine when I'll know we're safe." Adelaide muttered and she knew she wouldn't have to struggle much longer. From what she heard when Claire spoke on the phone, ships were coming to rescue everyone at sunrise.

Zach put his hoodie on her shoulders and the girl nodded thankfully. At least her back would be slightly more shielded now.

The vehicle stopped, and Claire rushed the kids inside the Lab. Owen had also joined them, and the five ran into the building. A few men were there, carrying boxes.

"What are you doing?!" Claire panickedly yelled and the men ignored her completely.

"This isn't a dinosaur." Gray mumbled and pointed to a computer screen, where the DNA of the Indominus was showing. It had many dinosaurs' DNA, but all of them were sickly mixed together to create the... monster that still roamed freely through the park.

"No, kid, it isn't." Hoskins appeared out of nowhere and the two adults stepped in front of them.

"You see, this is a perfect war machine. We could win any war with this beauty. And the idea to keep them only for toddlers to look at them is..." the man started, but a snarl was heard in their left. "Shit!" he yelled and Delta stepped between them and him.

Owen protectively stepped in front of everyone and extended his arms.

"Easy, boy. Easy." Hoskins backed up and his back touched the glass wall behind him. Everyone remained silent as the Raptor studied the man.

"We're on the same team, right? The same side." the man raised his hand; but Delta bit his arm, making him scream in pain. Blood splattered on the glass and the five ran from the Lab.

"This way!" Claire yelled, but Delta jumped though the glass, making everyone turn around and run in the opposite direction.

Adelaide was breathless, but she forced herself to keep running as fast as she could. The Raptors were no longer controlable by Owen.

Once they passed John Hammond's statue, Gray ran ahead and started a hologram. Adelaide shortly turned her head and saw a Dilophosaurus stop Delta in her tracks.

"Good one." the girl whispered to the child and a smile tugged at his lips, "Thanks."

All of them got outside and almost bumped into Blue. Delta was right behind them and Adelaide knew they were cornered.

No one said a word as Owen set his shotgun down, "Easy." he whispered to the Raptor in front of him.

Extending his hand, he took off the device strapped to Blue's head. Adelaide was holding in her breath and clunging onto Zach's hand.

Suddenly, a roar rang in the air and the Indominus Rex appeared from behind a building.

"We're screwed." Zach whispered, squeezing Adelaide's hand.

Yet something inside her doubted that.
