Chapter 32 period

 I'm just going to write 1 big chapter for this. I know this has nothing to do with beauty but it helps a lot of people.

Every girl goes through this it is completely normal. Your period usually starts in the 5,6,7 grade.

Definitions

Tampons-a plug of lint, cotton wool, cotton, inserted into a vagina to stop the flow of blood

Pads- A piece of fabric put in your panties to absorb blood

Vaginal Discharge- A  creamy, clear, yellow, slime that comes out of you vagina

Period- a cycle when blood comes out of your vagina

PMSing-Premenstrual Syndrome (pre-period syndrome) being moody or snappy

Cycle

Your cycle will happen usually once every month. A cycle can be from 4-7 days. After your period it will usually be another 28 days till your period starts. It is best to keep track of your period in a calendar, agenda, or you can download period apps for your phone or ipod. If your cycle is late don't worry, it doesn't automatically mean you are pregnant. Some people have irregular periods others can always predict your period.

Cramps

-Take Advil

-hot baths or shower

-lay a hot rag on your stomach

-lay flat on a bed

-message the area

Tampons

-When inserting it spread the two flaps of skin

-Insert it at an angle not straight

-If its to dry rub Vaseline on it, wet the outside coating, or spit on the outside

-Change it every 2-4 hours

-If it is hurting to insert it try a smaller size

-If your blood is still flowing while you have a tampon try a bigger one

*Pads in the night and tampons in the day

PMSing

-This usually happens before your period

-It can last through the beginning of you period

-Try not to lash out on people while PMSing

Mood swings

-It is natural to have them, and there isn't much to stop them

-To decrease mood swings get good sleep

-To decrease mood swings eat a good breakfast

-To decrease mood swings avoid stress and drama

*Keep an emergency bag of products in your locker at school or in a purse
