After the attack and break in on the USJ the school decided to announce that the sports festival was still on.
"Mr. Aizawa do I have to participate?" I asked in a moment when no one else was around, "This will just humiliate me and no pro hero will want to take me in under them."
He shook his head, denying my request, "you drop the sports festival, you'll be dropping this class y/n."
I frowned, retracting my previous statement, "Yes sir."
In the days between USJ and the sports festival my class prepped and discussed who they thought would win.
"Y/n, I think you'll do pretty good," Midoriya spoke up. I snapped back to the conversation that the class was having during a down time.
"Shut up nerd, she's just as weak as you are," Bakugo said, joining the conversation only to put those around him down, "She'll probably get out first round, and I'll probably win."
I rolled my eyes, "I hope you get out first round." I said quickly, not quite realizing what I said.
I watched as his head snapped up, staring at me, but before he could say anything Present Mic came in to teach.
When the day came I prepared as all the students joined together. The beginning speech began and I felt the target class 1-A had on our back, being both a hero class and the class that already dealt with villains.
The first event was announced as an obstacle course and I knew my quirk had little to no help with this as we all lined up.
"Don't embarrass yourself this early on dork, I wanna be the one to do that later on," Bakugo spoke from beside me, his glare burning holes into my skin.
I followed as people were getting frozen and I was stuck with those who didn't have quirks that could help either, staying back near where Denki and Kirishima were located.
In the end I pushed past people, using others quirks to piggyback my way across the finish line right in time to qualify for the next event of the festival.
Before I could catch my breath through I felt Bakugo's stare on me.
I should've kept my mouth shut.
