Ch.9 Heart Shattered

The Burnette snuggled more beside his friend, hiding his eyes from the rays of the sunlight coming out from the curtains.

Isozaki shifted with a groan hugging the pillow lazily as his eyes fluttered open slowly and sitting up, he looked at tenma and heard the dorm door open silently and he saw tsurugi coming inside.

"morning." the blue haired muttered going to tenma's side.

Isozaki hummed in response and laid back down watching tsurugi wake tenma up.

Tenma stirred and opened his eyes as he yawned and saw tsurugi who pecked his forehead. "happy anniversary whirlwind." kyousuke said with a small smile. As tenma smiled stretched his arms, wrapping them around Tsurugi's neck hugging him. "happy anniversary kyou." tenma said pecking kyousuke's cheek.

"get up to freshen up and get dressed, we'll head back." tsurugi said releasing tenma. He got up from the bed saying a quick morning to isozaki and going to the bathroom.

Isozaki yawned propping on his elbow lazily and looked at tsurugi. "he wouldnt stop bragging about you last night." he said with a smirk. Tsurugi chuckled taking our tenma's clothes draping them over his arm. "really? I thought you two would be making out." the striker says picking up tenma's bag from the floor putting it over his shoulder.

"nah, i think we'll stop that. I have someone in mind." isozaki replied watching tsurugi move around the room. Tsurugi paused and looked at him. "who? Mitsuyoshi?" tsurugi guessed handing tenma the clothes and returning back to the room.

Isozaki's eyes widen. "is it that obvious?" he asked in disbelief, yesterday Tenma already knew and now tsurugi. Tsurugi smirked, "or let's say you're the obvious one here." only to receive a middle finger from him making tsurugi smirk widen.

Tenma walked out dressed and drying his hair with a towel and looked at them. "what's up?" isozaki just buried his face on the pillow with a groan. Tenma watched in confusion while tsurugi took the towel continuimg to dry tenma's Hair. "his love life is being hard on him." tsurugi said with a small smirk watching isozaki groan even more. Tenma laughed softly, "good luck iezoka." tsurugi finished and hanged the towel as tenma put on his shoes.

"we're going now, bye iezoka!." tenma said hearing a response from the other as they walked out of the dorm.
Tenma linked their arms and leaned against tsurugi as they walked to out of the quarters.

"matsukaze, tsurugi." a deep voice said from behind him. They turned and saw Ishido as they bowed. "sir.."

Ishido walked to them his hands in his pockets. "I heard everything's going great." he said, the two nodding.
Ishido turned to tsurugi. "is your brother doing good.".tsurugi slowly nod, knowing he hadn't visited yuuchi for a while at the hospital. Tenma tensed and looked away not getting himself in the sensitive topic.

"good, keep up what you two are doing then, and eito's match is in three days keep that in mind." as Ishido left with his agent behind him.

Tenma looked at kyousuke who looked deep in thought. "kyou... Do you want to... Perhaps visit him a bit?" tenma asked seeing the other shake his head as they walked out of the place, the the sun hitting them. "You know we could... It won't hurt the day." Tsurugi sighed. "fine." tenma chuckled.

"cheer up fucker, we can't be sad in an important day." tenma teased him, Tsurugi chuckled silently at the curse.
"won't you ever stop cursing me a give me a good nickname." tsurugi said intertwining their hands as they began to walk towards the hospital.

"not my fault I can't give you one, it gets too cheesy." tenma said grinning his heart beating happily making his body warm. "true, I don't want to remember when you once called me wolfy." tsurugi muttering smirking.

"Oh shush." tenma said as they neared the hospital. "now sweetheart~ act properly in front of your brother." tenma said before pulling on Tsurugi's hair. Tsurugi looked at him swallowing a gulp. "Um okay..." tsurugi mutter as they entered the hospital going to try elevator.

They walked out of the elevator to the hallway passing through the doors as they stopped at one. Tsurugi took a deep breath and slowly knocked on the door.

"come in." a voice from inside called out. Tsurugi opened the door anxiously and walked inside tenma following closing the door behind him.

They saw yuuchi on his wheelchair looking outside the window then turning his head to look at who came. "kyousuke! Tenma!" He exclaimed surprised to see his brother along with his friend.

"nii-san..." Tsurugi walked to his brother side. "how are you doing."  tsurugi asked as he saw his brother smile brought pain to his chest. "I'm doing okay, how are you... You haven't been visiting recently." yuuchi asked smiling at tsurugi.

Tenma stood by the door watching the interaction between the two brothers as he quietly left the room leaving them alone to talk.

Tsurugi noticed tenma's move and looked back at his brother, he nod."I'm fine... I just have been busy... I got transferred to raimon." Tsurugi explained not speaking a word about fifth sector.

"really!! That's great, you've always wanted to go there." yuuchi said excitedly holding his younger brother's arm. Tsurugi froze, memories hitting his head like millions of knives. And stared at his brother quietly. Yuuchi had foster parents but he didn't because he chose to stay with fifth's, he doesn't even know if yuuchi's parents pay for him or not. He didn't even tell tenma that he only worked in fifth sector because of his brother tuition fees.

"yeah..." tsurugi mumbled. He cracked a small smile to his brother, "have you got to the soccer club?" his brother asked. Tsurugi looked at him. "yeah, I did."

"that's great, you should play well kyousuke. I'll make sure to watch your matches." yuuchi said as he tried reassuring his brother.

Tsurugi hummed. "I'll leave now, I'll make sure to visit you again nii-san." tsurugi said with a smile. He watched his brother return the smile and nod. "I'll be waiting." with that tsurugi turned on his heel and walked out of the room letting out a deep sigh he's been holding and saw tenma sitting on one of the benches looked up the ceiling deep in thought.

Tsurugi clenched his fists and slowly opened them to his side, he made his choice... He wants to be with his brother... Just doesn't matter how. He approached his boyfriend who noticed him and stood up with a smile. "how did it g-"

"I'm quiting fifth..." tsurugi cut him off first. Tenma smile dropped. "what?" tenma asked feeling like he misheard for a second. "I said I'm quiting. And... Sorry... I can't stay with you anymore, you can continue what you want, we're over matsukaze." tsurugi muttered his tone ice cold with his eyes emotionless and left tenma alone in the hallway walking away.

Tenma felt his heart shatter in a million pieces. What happened... Why did kyousuke... Not even on their day...

His eyes watered, his breath hitching, as he choked on a sob his hands gripping his bag's strap and slowly turned on his heel and walked out of the hospital.
