"Stop!" I yell playfully to James. He lets go of me and laughs. "Rawr." He says with a straight face. "You're such an idiot." I say back, sticking my tongue out at him. He laughs and pulls my arm. "Lets go back inside, it's getting dark." I agree and we walk back inside soaking wet from the storm that just passed minutes before. "I am so sick of Spring!" I groan as I open the fridge. "I know, I am too. Summer's only like 4 weeks away. And we have a late Spring Break this year, remember? Next week we don't have school." He answers. I grab out a box of pizza and open it. "I know, I know. Florida!!! It's going to be so much fun! Finally, it's Junior Year and now they let us go alone!" I say. "Woo hoo!" James says back as he grabs a cold piece of ham and pineapple pizza. I laugh. "What?" He asks. "Nothing, I've just wanted this so long and it's finally here! Going with our parents each year sorta sucks.." I say. He laughs back. "We've been going for what? Six years now?" He takes another bite of his pizza. "Gosh, I still remember the first time." I say. And the second, third, fourth, fifth and sixth because why would I want to forget Spring Break with James? Back in the fifth grade we went together for the first time. Our rooms were right next to each other and at night we would go for walks on the beach alone. We'd talk about this girl dating this guy and what happened in art class the week before. Stupid little conversations that soon meant everything to me. "Gosh, six years ago. That was forever ago man." He says. I laugh and set his plate in the sink. "My parents will be home soon if you want an actual dinner," I say. "I'm fine, I got a lot of homework to do. Ugh, if only Thursday was the last day of the week!" He answers. "Oh my gosh, I know! What is up with Mr. Kinn? He never gives any Math homework but he's been giving all he can this week!!! I'm just glad he's my first class so I can get it done throughout the day!" I answer. "I know, it's the worst. Maybe something happened to him over the weekend." He answers. "I just hope he doesn't give any over break. Math on the beach doesn't put a smile on my face." I say with a laugh. We walk to the front door and stop before I open it for him. "Please, I rather fail his class. Don't worry, Break will be awesome. Did you finish his homework for tonight?" He asks. "Yup, God Bless Study Hall!" I laugh. "Oh, do you think you could help me with it? I looked at it before class ended and I didn't understand it at all." He says back. It makes me so happy when he stays longer than he plans. I just love spending time with him. "Yeah, that's fine." I say as we walk up to my room. "You would have forgotten your journal if you left!" I said. "Shit.. that could have been bad!" He answers. "Why don't you trust me with it? You trust me with everything! What's in that thing!" I ask. He always has this journal but I've never read anything in it. Who knows that's in it. "Yes, I trust you. And you'll see this one time or another, trust me. Just not now!" He says. "Whatever!" I say punching his arm playfully. "Noob!" He answers with the most adorable laugh ever. "Okay, Math." I say so we can start.
