"Snow!"
I hear my name from behind. I spin on my heels as I see my best friend running down the hall.
"Hey Summer," I say.
"Hey," she says, panting. "I just wanted to give you this."
Summer holds out an envelope and gives it to me. I examine it for a little and when I look up, Summer is gone.

When the bell rings at the end of the day, I pull out the envelope and rip it open. I hop in my car and read the invitation.
Summer Dodes' Jingle Bell Rockin' New Year Party
When: New Year's Eve
Where: 15742 Daisy Drive Woodhaven, MI 48183Be there! ;)
Tomorrow, we start our Christmas Break. No school for two weeks! Woo! Anyway, I knew there are going to be many parties but I didn't know that I would be invited to a pretty popular one.
The thing is, Summer is popular. Summer is President of the Student Council, captain of the Cheer team, and everyone loves her (especially her boyfriend, Daniel, the captain of the football team). I don't even know why she's best friends with me because I'm a nerd. I'm not complaining though.
I park my car in front of my house and enter through the threshold.
"Hello? Anybody home?"
"In the kitchen!"
I turn the corner and see my mom baking cookies.
"Hey Mom, Summer is having a party on New Year's Eve and I was wondering if I could go."
"Well, as long as you come home before sunrise I'm fine with it."
"Really? Thank you so much!" I squeal.
I give her a quick kiss on the cheek then dash to my room. I tap the contact and put the phone to my ear.
"Summer? I can go."

Today is Christmas Eve (also Louis Tomlinson's birthday) and I still haven't gotten anybody's Christmas presents. There's this thing I like to do called Procrastinating. Everyone does it and you just can't help it.
Here I am, wandering around the mall at 10 AM, searching for presents at the last minute. I woke up extra early so I can avoid the crowds later on in the day. Most of the presents I've bought so far are clothes for older people or toys for the younger ones. I'm extremely stumped on what to get and I need to be more original. I decide to ask someone for help.
"Excuse me, could you help me?"
Little do I know that who I ask for help is someone from my school. All I know about him is that he's in my grade and he's really cute. He stops reading from his copy of Harry Potter and looks me in the eye.
"Snow Spade, how may I help you?" The guy asks, standing up from his seat on the bench.
"You know my name?" I ask, blushing after I say it.
