I woke up with a smile on my face I was excited that it was finally summer, and she was free from the bullies at school, and retarded teachers. I walked to my closet, and grabbed my Mayday Parade tank top. Then I slipped on my black ripped skinnies, and walked down the stairs. Mom frowned at my choice of clothes, and motioned for me to sit down at the table. So i sat down and said, "Whats up mom?" She played with her fingers nervously "Well I have to leave for the summer to go on a business trip, and your going to spend the summer with your grandma, at her Florida beach house." I gasped hoping she was kidding and she shook her head as in to tell me she was being serious. Instead of arguing I just said, "Let me pack." She smiled and muttered a thank you as I got up to go pack up all my clothes, and on the inside I was screaming cause my whole summer was pretty much ruined.
I walked up the stairs and grabbed my black suitcase. I threw it on the bed, and swung it open. I then turned to my closet. I grabbed my band t-shirts, all my skinnies, my red and black checkered bathing suit, and my bras, panties, and socks. I also grabbed my skull and cross bone dress and my graffiti dress. Last but not least i grabbed my vans, and converse. I smiled knowing I was done packing my clothes. Mom walked through the door, "hurry up honey, your flight is in an hour." I nodded, and she walked out of my room. I said goodbye to my band poster knowing i wouldn't see them for the whole summer. I grabbed phone, and blasted I.D.G.A.F by Breathe Carolina. I bounced my head to my music while putting my suitcase in the car. I walked in the house waiting for mom to hurry outside, and unlock the door.
We finally got in the car, and she started the car. "Kirsten im really sorry I know this ruined your summer, but ever since your dad left i have to work and keep money." I smiled, "Its fine mom dont worry about me i understand." On the inside I wanted to scream, but I know its hard for her so I try to not to give her a hard time. I looked at the window, and watched the world go by. Honestly i felt like life always passed me by, and I was just left behind. I turned on carry me home by The Ready set, and laughed at my issues and depression. I was jammin out when mom tapped me on the shoulder, and mouthed we're here. I jumped out the car knowing that this summer is going to be memorable.
