TSM's Truely

Chapter 1: CARLifornia.

     The NYC streets were already busy at the early start of 8am, as always. Carly called me just as I woke up for a glass of water in my tiny, one room studio apartment. 
"Are you awake?" She asked me. She seemed full of excitement, yet I couldn't help but to reply with a very sarcastic "No".
She began to tell me about last night, how she finally hit Diamond in League of Legends. How she is going to catch up to me in Masters before I know it. I ignored most of this, I was more excited about the toast that I was making, rather than her yappy voice I had on speaker across the room.
As I spread my butter on my toast, I heard her go quiet. She then told me about her new job opportunity in California. At this moment, I didn't care about the job, I only cared about California. For years I've wanted to go.. It was an amazing place for tourism but it was also the central part for NA LCS. I have big dreams and goals that could be easily accomplished there.
      As I regained my thought and began to put my attention back on to Carly, she began talking about how I should go with her, and how I could find a part time job to help pay the rent. 
Carly, being my best friend, encouraged me to join her on this new chapter of her life. I was a bit on the fence about this, and told her that I would think about it while I talked to my parents, then hung up.

    I had lunch with my parents later that day, and I proposed the idea.
My Mom was the first to reply, "Honey, you know that I love you and Carly.... but isn't this a big step for you to take? I mean, you're 18 and you JUST moved out of our house."
All I could think about was how they kicked me out when I turned 18, and how I was completely on my own. I told them I didn't care of their thoughts, gathered my belongings, and left to head to Carly's.

   Carly was super excited when I told her that I would be joining her. We immediately began house shopping online to move as soon as we could.
