Chp.1-The beginning of the end

His time in the void had given him the opportunityb to think about the past. A past he would do anything to forget

The void was the worst kind of prison for any vampire once trapped there was no escape.  The void would  release its prisoner after a million years but in a whole different galaxy than that which its prisoner had come from. It was the worst punishment any vampire could have.

His own brother Derek had trapped him in it . And for what a girl?

Emily, but Emily wasn't just a girl she was the only girl he'd ever wanted more than anything else.

She was the very blood that flowed through his veins , his life, his all , his beautiful nightmare.

That bitch that tore Derek and him apart. He could see why he'd also fallen for her.  She had the beauty of a goddess. She made Derek do it imprison him. Never again would he be fooled by the likes of her.

He'd never see either of them again. He wished them every bit of sorrow. Not a sun rose that he didn't curse their souls and those of their descendants after them.

But he realized he'd spent too much time dwelling in the past, a past he couldn't change.

He was done feeling sorry for himself.  He was done wallowing in self pity.

He'd calculated each second, he knew tomorrow he'd be free. It felt like ten million years but thank goodness today was the last day of his seemingly eternal torture. He didn't think he could survive another day.

Whichever planet he found himself on he vowed to make a difference.

He vowed to forget the past and every bit of pain it brought ,but there were two things he'd never forget . His name and what he was

Dennis the vampire.

Sprite-4014

Sed looked up into the night sky, the five moons Sprite had where all full today. That wasn't just abnormal it was impossible. The fortune teller she'd seen that afternoon was right about this.  What else could she be right about?

All the talk of the arrival of an ancient evil the next day brought fear into every atom of her being. Normally she wouldn't believe any of the crap that psychics said but right up in the sky the full moons shone brightly. She didn't want to be caught up in the middle of whatever was about to happen, but something told her she already was.

Elixir-4014

As Emily took her shower she thought about him again, Dennis. The man she'd betrayed for the money and power she now had.

In the beginning it felt great. She'd managed to fool Derek into imprisoning his brother in the void and a week later she did the same to him.

With both of them out of the picture she inherited all their families wealth. They were the last of the Ofori's and she had been the closest thing to family.

But now she couldn't believe a million years had come and gone so soon. She wondered where Dennis would land, she wondered about the person he'd become.

She may have loved him once, but she loved herself more. Emily had her own special kind of self importance. It was truly a sickening sight to behold. She was her god, her everything.....and this was her greatest weakness .

Her own vanity may just be her downfall.
