Ellenors P.O.V
"Can everybody please open their books to page 357." Mr. Bainborough's voice droned, great, another reading day. "Today the subject we'll be reading is advanced human evolutionary possibilities.", this grabbed my attention as I flipped through to page 357 and began reading. In this day and age species are evolving at a fascinating rate, the fortunes of different species rise and fall based on their evolutionary capabilities. Example: the Danastra Lark is accustomed to the heat of the Sahara, however, when moved to cold, and even mild temperatures it's healthy began deteriorating rapidly. Only 2 out of 10 Danastra Larks were able to evolve to conquer their new environments. Therefore if species are forced to evolve the chances of it being successful are very low. However there are some who believe that humans have not reached the peak of their potential, and continue to evolve.
C'mon theirs gotta be more on people like Nasir in here! There is no way that's all! Ugh!

Nasir's P.O.V
On my way back to the dorms I decided to walk through the courtyard area to see the reputed Damocles Garden. Walking through the rows and rows of well tended flowers (courtesy of the flower care\gardening class) I noticed a particularly beautiful flower, it had five petals that extended in 5 directions like a star. The petals were an explosion of scarlet and gold, with a long green stamen coming up through the center of the flower. Tempted to pick it I stopped myself, realizing that I would incur the wrath of the gardening class by picking such a beautiful flower. Simply crouched and observing the flower from a closer angle when I noticed that across the lawn, three men in suits were walking around, thoroughly examining every student, probably a couple of perverts, well, if they're perverts they are very well dressed. Deciding to watch them for a little while longer, I continued crouching as they walked along the cobbled sidewalk the went around the flower rows, but not down them. As they got closer and I got a closer look at their faces I gasped, it can't be! I killed them! The faces of the men were completely identical to the ones I'd frozen. I... I don't understand... I watched them die, I saw them shatter before my eyes! Why are they here?! Well the answer to that is obvious, I thought bitterly, they're here for me... Ellenor! If they ask somebody who knows me and Ellenor are roommates, they might go after her! As if fate had heard what I said the men asked a random student who I recognized from my floor, they pulled out a crumpled picture of me and showed it to him and he pointed towards the dorms and continued talking. Panic began to rise within me and I knew I had to leave, like I told Ellenor earlier, I'm a danger to everyone... What would they do to her if they found out she knew about my powers! Pushing that thought out of my mind I took the sneakiest route I could to the dorms.
