How amazing is my Rabb's mercy! We sin and sin and keep sinning, He forgives and forgives and keep forgiving. We ask all the time, for one thing after another, He gives every time, all that we ask for.
He is eager to listen to us, we hardly take time to speak to Him. He wants to answer our prayers, we who never bother to ask, even. He comes to the lowest heaven every night, yearning to forgive all our sins, while we neglect Him and hold on to our precious sleep.
Yet, when we realize our mistake in that sudden epiphanic moment and turn to Him, He forgives as if we deserve it. He, Al- Ghaffaar, covers up our sins for us. And not only does He forgive, He also erases all traces of that sin from our book of records so that we are not embarrassed on the Day of Judgement. Because He is Al- 'Afuww, the eraser of sins.
How much more of a mercy do we need, seeing that we don't even deserve it in the first place!
