Forbidden

"What did you see?!!!"

With a smile on her face Kat got out from the dragons claws and moved fast on to his back. "God buddy! don't ever scared me like that" -she said petting the dragon's neck. Ice closed his blue eyes with enjoyment and flew higher into the sky. Kat loved her best friend and fighting companion, nothing has ever destroy that bond...that trust. She still remembered the first time she saw him, hard to believe it was 120 year ago.

(She had just received the news of her father's death, Kat can still remember that awful, awful pain. She started walking; to this day she can't remember how much she walked, but her body took her deep into the woods. Tired and far away from her people, Kat sat in the ground, hugged her legs, and she cried. She cried in pain, in agony, in anger; she cried until despair. Her chest, hands, and raven hair were soaked in those tears of pain. With every tear she grew more angry, more furious; the state of lunacy grew stronger and stronger until all she can see was red.

With crazy screams she took down trees, destroyed lands, and killed creatures of that mysterious place. Just when she took the last rock to crushed it with her hands, the rock turned cold, and both of her arms transformed into frost; making her not only to drop the rock in pain, but pushed her back a couple of feet in confusion. With fury and determination she walked towards the piece of ice on the ground, when suddenly it cracked, revealing an ice baby dragon. She remembered that connection, the warmth she felt just by looking at his blue eyes, that tiny Dragon made her feel protected, safe, and more importantly... Loved. With awkwardness the dragon got out of the iced egg, opened his white wings, and made a bow to the princess, act imitated by Kat. The whole world stood still with that act of reverence between vampire and dragon and the connection of a lifetime was created.)

Ice took Kat to the Lake, that magical, intimate, and special place... "You always know where to take me when I'm down" -she thought. With a grateful move of his big ice wings they were in the ground.

The lake wasn't quiet like the woods of the Castle; on the contrary, it was Full of life. The small fairies were dancing, nymphs were creating the fruit of the trees so other creatures could feed; in Thunder Mountain, Kat could hear the trolls fighting for the females; even the mermaid of the lake were jumping and playing; "yes, this is my magical place" -Kat told herself, resting her whole body on the ground.

"Oh wow, if the princess is talking to herself, our future will be shit" -said a voice behind Kat.
"You're one to talk, miss "the woods speaks to me"!!!" -Kat responded with a mocking tone.
"Hey! I'm a nymph, the woods Do speak to me" -said Ran sitting next to her partner-in-crime.

Run was a beautiful Nymph Warrior, with delicate features, her eyes were bright green, and her hair was a wash-up pink. Run looked like a beautiful fragile flower, one will never know how deadly she can really be.

"Kat, we've known each other for how long now?"
"Fifty five years." -Kat responded.
"Exactly, so I know that when you come here something is going on, spill it!"
"Right to the point, are we?!" -said Kat with an annoyed voice.
"I don't like to waste time, you know me better than that, I can see your concerned energy from a mile away"
"So you can see energy now?!"
"Fuck, Kat, can you just tell me, because I have news! Important ones!"

Kat took her eyes from the lake and turned her face directly at the beautiful nymph. She could see that her friend was worried, her green eyes alarmed her; you could see everything on Run's eyes, but never worries.

"Speak!!" -said Kat with her royalty voice giving Run a direct order; that the creature couldn't disobey.
"The wolfs are planing something, the Alfa hasn't been around for three months, and the wolfs haven't hunt for over a week"
"That is not normal, they hunt every two days and is not like Blake to be away for so long"
"They are smelling different too, Kat, the energy is different, I know something is coming, and I know is not good" -said Run with anger and concern.

(Those words took Kat to this morning with Violent. Kat and the witch were still heated for the long act of the night before, still in bed Kat was smoking a cigarette and Violet was resting her head on the princess' chest. It was an intimacy that Kat was not fond of, but it was nice to have someone caressing her body.

Kat was about to get out of bed and ask her night companion to leave, when suddenly, Violet's purple eyes went all the way to the back of her head, her skin started to glow, and her back curved; she was having a vision.

"What did you see?!" -Kat asked when the freak show was over.
"Your end!" -answered Violet with her eyes wide open, sweaty body, and trembling voice.)

"Hellooooo, Kat? Earth to Kat!"
-Run started to moved her hands in front of Kat's face until the princes was out of her head and back in the lake.
"Where'd you go?" -Run asked.
"Violet told me that something was going on, but you know how her visions are....pure interpretation."
"Violet? What the hell Kat!?, you told me it was over, witches have to be virgins forever, they need to be pure!"
"Hey I don't look for her, she's looking for me, and If she wants to break her own rules, that is not my problem"
"It will be your problem if she has to perform a purity spell to keep our world running AND IT DOESN'T WORK!"
"Again, that is not my problem!" -Kat responded taking a cigarette to her lips and turning it on with a flick of her fingers.
Run started to move her hands like crazy, trying to push the smoke away from her face.
"There's no use!" -said Run, giving up the fight with the smoke. "What did Violet see in her vision?"
"I have no idea, she told me that she saw my doom, picked up her clothes, and left."

Run had a confused face, her left eyebrow when up, and all she said was "oooookayyy"
"Hey, like I said, pure interpretation"
"Well, I don't think the wolves will bring your doom, but I do think they are planing something, and you need to stop it before it gets out of line"-said the nymph, throwing her hands up in the air.

Ice made a soft noise indicating Kat that it was time to go.
"I'm coming body, Run! keep me updated, ok?" -Kat informed her friend as she was getting on top of her dragon.
"Will do!" -said Run, walking into the forest.

Kat got to the castle a couple of hours later. She left Ice in the feeders and with a cigarette on her lips she walked towards her mother's office.

Before she could push the door Lilith opened it with her eyes red as blood. With a long hand and beautiful fingers she grabbed Kat's neck, and threw the princess behind her, making her crash in her mother's concrete table. Lilith smiled when she heard Kat's rib break. With evil intentions, she slowly closed her office door.
