Battle Scars
Darkness is the only light,
Oh they take it up, the demons in her mind
She fights to stay away
Away from the demons who are here to stay
Everyday is a battle
And the words people say make it harder
The scars on her wrist
Have only found it easier when there is a red mist
Battle scars keep her awake
In order to stay alive she has to fight with the demons
Smiles can be faked
They can hide the battle
Scars can be hidden
Tears can stay behind the eye
Just wait, wait untill shes alone
The smile is gone, the tears flow free
The blade comes out
Mistakes are made
The demone seclude her mind once again
Her mind says "keep going"
She listens,
she dies a little more
She breaks a little more
Each day
Everyday is a battle
Her scars show her fight
Her real smile shows new found strength
