I'm falling again, longer this time, thoughts rushing through me... What is this place? Where am I? What's happening to me? Will this ever end? The weird sensation of wind rushing past me, am I floating? flying? I've decided that there is no use trying to escape this place. I'm just going to lie here waiting till I 'wake up'. Thats if I do wake up...
It's happening again. The wind has stopped. I open my eyes. I'm warm, not cold and I can hear voices.
"Hey! Hello! Can you here me Kathryn?!"
My eyes are still adjusting to the light, it's blurry but I see a boy hovering just above me. He has short brown hair and brown eyes.
"Kathryn! Oh thank god your awake!"
"Umm hello?" I say while rubbing my head, I had a splitting headache.
"Are you okay Kathryn? It's me, your brother, Henry"
"Um yeah, I'm fine..." Memories flash past me as I start to fall into a trance again. Am I floating? Flying? Hallucinating? The wind is once again rushing past me. I can see memories from when I was child. This time I wasn't falling or floating for very long, almost immediately I landed in a hot sunny field. The air was dry and the sun was bright. I stood in the middle of the meadow and watched what was probably me when I was a younger child.
The child had long brown hair with dark brown eyes just like me. She is running through the meadow with the grass towering over her. She is giggling as she is been chased by what seems to be her father. Dandelions brush past my nose, as I turn to my left I see a happy lady sitting on a red checkered picnic rug on a hill near by, she is laughing and smiling as she watches her daughter run around.
I look up towards the sky, I was surprised to see that the sun has started to disappear behind the clouds. Everything got darker. Everyone's smiles were wiped of their faces. I hear screaming! I turn around to see who is making the noise and I find the little girl. She is standing all alone. Her father is no longer chasing her, in fact her father is no where to be seen. I hear another scream and I find the little girls mum standing up looking around frantically and screaming at the same time.
Then it all starts to come back to me. I remember, I was that little girl! As soon as I realised that I was the little girl everything started to fade. Everything got dark and once again I was floating, or falling, or whatever it is. I begin to forget everything I just saw, I try to remember but I just can't. I see the little girl, or should I say me, flash through my mind one last time before I close my eyes in hope that this is only a dream.
