Talon's worst fear slowly becomes a reality when her best friend, Alice, starts drifting closer to another person. She has to watch as Alice walks past her in the hall to hug her new friend, Danny. Talon begins to sit alone during sports practices because her teammate and friend walks around the halls with Danny, who is in a different sport. She notices Alice and Danny growing closer and closer. The lack of texts and conversations between them does not go unnoticed. Alice and Danny are practically glued at the hip. Talon just becomes a part of the background.
Talon is in pain from this change. It's like a blade being stabbed into her heart, being pulled and twisted. She feels as if she's suffocating, struggling to breathe. The pain forces her to pull away from everyone and to sink into a dark state. She retreats into her shell. Her shy side begins to grow again, covering her once loud, outgoing personality.
Her sweet mother notices this as does two other girls who care deeply about her. They're the only ones who can pull her out of this hole. It's just a matter of time and willingness from Talon to accept the help.
Will she continue to fade away or will she allow the girls to grow close and to help her?
