Chapter 5

Brads POV

"Can we watch something Disney?" I hear Chloe say as we walk in the door.

"Sure" I reply with a laugh "what did you want to watch?"

"Anything! Surprise me" she said, winking. She let go of my hand so she could sit down on the couch. She just sat there smiling at me. I just stood there. smiling back at her. My hand felt strangely alone since she left it. God she's adorable though, I thought as I suddenly realised she must think I'm some creepy psycho for just staring at her, i quickly turned around, grabbing the little mermaid out from the DVD cupboard and put it in the DVD player. *cough* I totally only have it for my sister, i don't watch it all the time because its such a great movie *cough* its like.. so lame. ;) As I was walking over to where chloe was sitting, she rubbed her hand on the couch, signalling me to sit next to her.. as if i was going to sit anywhere else! I sat down and wrapped my arms around her and she snuggled into my chest. The movie started to play and I jumped when I heard chloe say, very loudly, might I add; "THE LITTLE MERMAID!! THAT'S MY FAVOURITE!" I looked down at the huge grin on her face and laughed

"Now this is my kind of movie" she said and snuggled closer into me. I chuckled at her ability to be so childlike, yet so mature. She had a way of being as cute as a button obsessing over adolescent things, but you could also have a serious conversation with her. It amazes me how she is the perfect mix, and still so funny. I placed my hand on her smooth thigh, gently rubbing my thumb against her skin. I could feel her shake slightly every time I did that. It felt nice knowing I had that effect on someone. The movie was progressing and as much as I loved this movie, especially when I was cuddling with Chloe, I just felt bored in the sense that I'd rather be actually spending time with her, talking to her, kissing her... I was suddenly feeling really thirsty and as I went to reach for the drinks I got earlier, they were warm. So I reluctantly got up to go get us some fresh drinks and, thank the lord, she followed me into the kitchen, judge me all you want, but i didn't want to be away from her. She jumped up and sat on the kitchen bench, swinging her legs back and forth and started singing along to the movie, which you could still hear pretty well from the kitchen.

"Look at this stuff, isn't it neat? Wouldn't you think my collection's complete? Wouldn't you think I'm the girl, the girl who has.. everything! " she was doing very drastic hand actions and I laughed. She had a beautiful voice; like an angel; could this girl get any more perfect? I couldn't wait any longer to feel her soft lips against mine. I left the drinks on the bench and I went over to her, right up close, we were eye level, her legs on either side of me, my pelvis against the bench.

"Quality song" she said to me, looking a bit surprised at how close I had gotten. I could feel her breath on mine, I was that close; but I wanted to be closer.

"Do you know what my favourite song is?" I said, brushing her hair out of her eyes, lightly grazing my hand against her cheek.

"Under the sea? Because that's mine!" she said with a wide grin.

"No, it's 'kiss the girl'" I stated. She chuckled

"oh yeah, is that because scuttle features with his sexual voice?" I laughed, not exactly the reaction i was expecting! I love that about her, she's so unpredictable in a good way, in a funny way.

"well, that defiantly plays a part, but not the reason I was thinking" I said, leaning in closer to her.

"Then what was your reason?" She said, leaning in with a cheeky grin, wrapping her arms around my neck.

"Because I get to do this" I started to close the gap between us, our lips just touching. She let out a nervous breath and I pulled her closer to me with one of my hands on her cheek, the other running through her hair. I pressed my lips against hers and I felt as if all my worries and all negativity flew away. Like we were the only two left in the world, like we could run away and be together forever. Man! I've only known this girl for 2 days and I'm already crazy about her! Our lips moved in sync, it was an open mouthed, yet no tongue kiss. I wanted to kiss her more passionately and for longer, but i didn't want to intimidate her or go too fast. I pulled away, our noses still touching.

"Wow Bradley, you sure know how to impress a girl" Impress a girl? I haven't done anything, yet!

"Babe, I haven't even started" and with that, I quickly pecked her lips and took her hand in mine, helped her off the kitchen bench and we finished watching the movie while cuddling.

The end credits came and I noticed that Chloe was asleep in my arms. Wow, this girl can look attractive doing anything! I kissed the top of her head and tried my hardest to pick her up bridal style without waking her up. I somehow managed to do it, slipping my left arm underneath her legs, my right supporting her back. I even turned the lounge room light off with my head. Good work brad! I said to myself, in my head of course. I slowly crept down the hallway, Chloe still asleep in my arms, one of her hands in her lap, the other just touching my chest. Even when she's asleep, she still sends tingles through my body! I managed to open my bedroom door with minimal difficulties. Chloe stirred a bit as I turned the handle, but she seemed to be deep in sleep. I didn't bother to turn the light on as I gently lay her down on my bed. I quickly gathered some random crap that was on my floor, hey! I didn't want her to think I was a slob when she woke up! I tidied up a bit; putting some glasses in the kitchen sink, dirty clothes in the hamper. I then took off my shirt, slipped on some long pyjama pants and lay down in bed next to Chloe. I slid my hand underneath her neck, my other hand wrapping around the top of her body, pulling her closer to me. She snuggled into me, both her hands on my bare chest. I kissed her head, and before I knew it, I was falling into a deep sleep.
