Alessia woke up first, her arms wrapped around Lily's waist, their bodies entangled in the silken sheets. She watched Lily's peaceful face for a few moments, brushing away a stray strand of hair before pressing a soft kiss to her forehead.
Lily stirred slightly, a sleepy mumble escaping her lips. "Mmm... five more minutes."
Alessia chuckled, tightening her hold. "You say that every morning, amore."
Lily cracked one eye open, a lazy smile forming. "And yet you always let me have them."
Alessia hummed, leaning in to kiss her slow and deep. "Because I'm weak for you."
Lily giggled, her fingers tracing over Alessia's bare shoulders. "Good."
Unfortunately, their peaceful morning was interrupted by a knock on the door.
"Capo, we have updates on the shipments."
Alessia sighed, dropping her head onto Lily's chest. "Of course."
Lily smirked, running her fingers through Alessia's hair. "Duty calls, amore mia."
Alessia groaned dramatically but forced herself to sit up. "Come on, let's go see what mess we have to clean up today."
The couple got dressed—Alessia in her usual black suit, exuding power and intimidation, while Lily opted for a sleek black outfit of her own, complementing her fiancée's commanding presence.
Together, they headed to the Sorento warehouse, where their most trusted allies were waiting.
The meeting was held in Alessia's private office, the large oak table surrounded by the most powerful figures in the Sorento Mafia.
Luciano was reviewing financial reports, while Marco discussed the latest intel on rival families. Francesca leaned back in her chair, idly twirling a knife between her fingers, while Isa and Lucia listened attentively.
The air was tense, but only because power radiated from every corner of the room. This was a family built on loyalty, strength, and absolute control.
"The shipments have arrived safely. No interference," Marco reported.
"Good," Alessia said, tapping her fingers on the table. "And our influence in the north?"
"Growing. The Montelli family is trying to push into our territory, but they won't succeed," Francesca said with a smirk. "Not unless they want to end up buried in the countryside."
Alessia smirked. "They'll learn soon enough. And what about our businesses?"
Luciano handed her a file. "Expanding. Profits are higher than ever. We own half the city, and everyone knows it."
Lily listened, impressed as always by how efficient everything was. She wasn't just a part of this world anymore—she was a pillar of it.
But then Isa, with her usual cheekiness, leaned forward. "So, Capo... when's the wedding?"
The room fell silent for a beat before everyone turned to Alessia and Lily with expectant smirks.
Lily laughed, while Alessia rolled her eyes. "One meeting without teasing. That's all I ask."
Lucia grinned. "Come on, we need to know. The great Alessia Sorento, la Capo is finally getting married!"
Alessia sighed dramatically before wrapping an arm around Lily's waist. "We haven't set a date yet, but soon."
Lily smiled softly. "We were actually thinking about planning it together soon."
The excitement in the room was undeniable. Even in a mafia family where blood and power ruled, love was still celebrated.
