"Brielle Ann Reed, if you don't hurry up you'll be late for this interview that could potentially decide your entire future!" I groan hearing my best friend, Danny, yell at me from the next room. But, as usual, he's right.  I have been interning at Raid Inc. for almost 9 months and I finally got offered a great opportunity to become an editor for the company.

Raid Inc. is one of the biggest publishing industries in the UK. I was given the opportunity to even intern while I was a Sophomore in college.  I originally went to college in Seattle but because of the offer I immediately packed up my things and brought my best friend with me.
"I'm hurrying, perfection cannot be rushed!" I joked while walking out of the bathroom and giving a full turn showing off my new maroon dress that hugged my curves, black heels that made me at least four inches taller, and gold accented jewelry.
"Brielle you look hot! you're gonna knock em' dead!" I thank him. Danny and I have been friends since middle school years and he has been there for me through absolutely everything! A couple years ago, when we graduated high school he came out as gay and I was the only person who was supportive. That's why when I asked him to come with me to the UK, it was easy for him because most of his family and friends had shut him out.
It was Danny and I against the world.
"Good luck sugar, go get that position because lord knows we need it" I nod. We have been struggling to make ends meet so when I got offered an interview I jumped at the opportunity.

Lucky for me, Raid Inc. was only two blocks from me so I walked confidently into the company. I was greeted by the Martha, who was the nicest lady and worked all the time. "Hey Martha!" I gave her a warm smile. She nodded with an equally warm smile. I hop onto the elevator and I see a handsome man who I would guess to be around my age, maybe a little older. "Good Morning" I say to the man who I have never seen around here before. He glances at me with hooded eyes, and his lips quirk up in a half smile. I am taken back because it's quite rude not to greet someone back, "...or not" I utter under my breath, barely audible. "What's your name?" he asks with what sounds like a trace of anger. "What's it to you?" I ask with the same amount of rudeness. "Okay, we can play it your way" But before I could come up with a snappy comeback, the elevator rings to let us know that we've made it to our floor.
We both get off and I immediately go and to the waiting room, I check my watch and see that I am 10 minutes early.

I take out my phone and check Twitter for recent news. I am snapped out of my trance when a blonde woman says "Brielle Reed? Mr. Styles is ready for you." I gulp because this interview is so important. I stand and brush off my dress to make sure that I look as presentable as possible. I follow that blonde into a big office. What I didn't realize is I was looking down, maybe because of nerves. "Hello Miss Reed" a familiar raspy voice brings me from my thoughts. I look up and see the man from the elevator...Oh God.
