Ianite glanced around, shaken from the arrival of newcomers in her solitary home as she swept her hair behind her ears.
"Hey, HEY SPARKLEZ I FOUND HER WHAT THE HELL!"
"IT'S HER JARDON OH MY MIANITE WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK!"
"Looks like you got your wish Sparkly-pants, she's here now!"
"I can't even - just wow, wow, wow, wow..."
"Hey, guys, back off and give her a little space."
"Yeah; hey, listen to Wag. Guys? Oh Tom what are you doing - no, stop; don't destroy her house! Oh dear...um...HEY BACK UP DON'T DO THAT TOM, sheesh what's it take to get you all to calm down a bit?"
Her eyes widened as a familiar face pushed through the throng of people and she gasped. Scruffy black hair, a little stubble on his chin, and sparkling eyes with a wide smile greeted her.
"My Lady, it's so good to see you!" he exclaimed exuberantly as he bowed to her.
"S-Spark? Is that you?"
A brow furrowed in confusion and the man, Spark, shot a glance at the group that surrounded them. Arms, legs, and faces backed away slowly.
"My Lady, don't you remember me?" he asked.
"My Spark? Is it really you?"
She saw his face soften and a sad smile flit across his face for a brief instant before the joyous look returned.
"I may not be this 'Spark' you speak of," he said softly, "But I will always be yours, the Ianite follower from the land of Mianite, transported to the wonderful world of Ruxomar from a very, very, long fall."
"Who are you all?" she asked tentatively.
"My name is Jordan Sparklez. These are my companions: Tucker Jericho, Tom Syndicate, Sonja Firefoxx, and James Waglington."
He gestured to each person as their name was called. Tucker gave a lopsided grin, Tom smiled evilly, and then burst into laughter, Sonja waved, and Waglington gave a little bow.
"Wag here is our wizard," Jordan explained, "he was kicked out of the wizard team and joined us rogues instead!"
Ianite jumped as a loud explosion went off behind her and she tore her eyes away from Sp -no, Jordan, she reminded herself. Vibrant purple orbs darted around in confusion and slight fear. She spun around and found a gaping hole in the island mere inches from her house. Another explosion blew her door off its hinges.
"Stop!" she cried. "Why are you destroying my home?!"
One of the boys, Tom, began digging with strange explosions that tore chunks around one meter cubed out of the ground. Jordan sighed and drew his sword. To her amazement, both him and Tom rose off the ground and began floating toward each other. Jordan shot an apologetic look back at her.
"Tom, harbinger of destruction and chaos. Now you've met him."
She shook her head slightly and allowed a small smile to grace her face as she watched him berate the trouble maker. A hand tapped her should her and she flinched imperceptibly.
"My Lady, if you would like, I could restore your island and forest."
The smooth voice of Waglington filled her ears and she turned to him with a grateful smile.
"Would you please?"
He flashed her a brilliant smile and pulled out a spellbook. Runes and characters flew out of it as he rifled quickly through the pages. A small "aha!" left his lips as he found the right page. Ianite peered at it, and craned her neck to see the paper. He winked at her and shut the book before she could see it, and waved his hands. Within seconds she found the holes refilled and her forest revived.
"Thank you Waglington," she said gratefully, and inclined her head in a gesture of respect.
He gave a slight bow.
"M'lady," he replied respectfully.
She turned her attention back to the four people sprinting around her island. It seemed as though Jordan had Tom pinned against the walls while Tucker was chasing Sonja around the island at lighting speeds. She felt dizzy just watching them. Suddenly, Sonja stopped running and halted in a dead stop. Tucker crashed into her and she shot him a heated glare before turning to Ianite.
"Lady Ianite," she began hesitantly, "would you like to return to the overworld with us?"
Ianite stared. The question, which had come out of nowhere, shocked her to the core for some obscure reason. Live in the overworld? After ten years of floating in the void with the occasional return to her house? What of her children? Her family? Her town?
My town...she thought. My town. The one he built for me. Where he claimed to love me. Where he left me...She shook herself. I have to face it eventually. Remember, even goddesses have fears.
How could you return after all you have done to them? a part of her whispered. You abandoned them. You hurt them. You tore them apart. They hate you.
But I love them, she argued. With no little effort, she forced down her doubt and turned to the fox-girl.
"I suppose I would," she replied softly. "Yes, I would like to return to the overworld."
"My Lady? I hope you aren't going to the overworld because Tom broke your island..." Jordan trailed off nervously.
"Well," Ianite said slowly, "I am coming because of you. But for other reasons as well. Old reasons. Old ties."
Jordan shot her a tentative smile, and she returned with a glowing one of her own.
"C'mon guys. Let's get back home!" he exclaimed.
Yes...home...one more time...

So this is just the prologue...I'm sorry for the choppiness and the shortness but I was trying to bend the original introduction to fit how I thought Ianite would feel upon returning. Next update soon, within the next week, maybe a few days over.
