Lily Cotton abruptly twirled around of the spot, leaving her trolley stationary. "Where is he?!" She muttered. Her elder brother, who was meant to be leading her onto the platform, had vanished. "TOM, TOM?!" Called Lily, grasping hold of the trolley pushing it along as the wheels rattled and clattered on the ground. Thomas Cotton was his name; third-year at Hogwarts and he had just wandered off as per usual. "He hasn't even told me anything about the school, nor share his books." Lily mumbled gingerly, taking one arm off the trolley and resting her elbow on the handle, she pulled her candyfloss pink coloured denim jacket sleeve up, to reveal her watch; it was 10:45 in the morning. The Hogwarts Express pulls into the station promptly at eleven o'clock every year.

Lily had platinum blonde hair, and today it was styled - by her mother - in a waterfall braid. She had peachy coloured to pale skin, with ever so faint freckles on the bridge of her nose. Her height was about average for a usual and apt twelve-year-old girl; same with weight and shoe size. Her eyes were an azure blue colour, with flecks of hazel in. Lily was from Jersey Farm, in Hertfordshire. Her personality was very original, partly because she was original. She spent most of her time in daydreams and she was imaginative, intelligent, determined and creative. Her kindness and helpfulness towards others, helped her to create more and more friends. Whenever starting new things or not knowing something, Lily was usually quite quiet, shy, timid and secretive. At times, she could get very feisty and angry when people upset her or her friends etc.

Lily sat herself down on a small bench, on platform eight. She thrusted her trolley closer to her, just for safety. She knew that she couldn't get out any of her books, wand etc. due to the amount of Muggles there were standing stationary on the platforms or rushing and dashing across platforms to catch their train. Lily sighed heavily, as she leaned back against the back and watched the Muggles get in with their own thing.

This girl had never been to Kings Cross Station before so this was all new to her. She only really came to St. Pancras International, with her family. And London is far different than her usual life. You see, Lily lived on a farm. A farm in a village of Jersey Farm. She sighed, as she pulled out the silvery blue ticket from her pocket. It said something about a 'Platform Nine and Three-Quarters'. "So where's this, then?" She asked herself, "This platform is non-existent!" She folded the ticket and slipped it in her jeans pocket once again, She continued along, reaching platform nine and ten. Lily found herself watching a wizarding family, by the looks of it. She watches them eagerly. "Albus, look straight on at the wall between Platform Nine and Ten, got that?" A man with jet-black hair and, rounded lenses of his glasses, instructed, which looked as if he was the father. The younger boy, also with jet-black hair, nodded stiffly. The boy glared at the bricks between the two platforms and charged right into the wall. Lily blinked rapidly, again and again. Was she seeing things? No, the boy just disappeared through the wall.

"Stare at the wall between the two platforms, eh?" Lily murmured once the family had gone through. She pushed her trolley forward, her snowy owl named Sooty, hooted. She blinked a couple if times and readjusted her position. She stared at the wall, and as she ran along the concrete ground, she, too, disappeared through the wall. She saw a sign that said 'Platform Nine and Three-Quarters'. Again, she shoved her sleeve up her arm to have a quick glimpse at the time. Now it was 10:55; five minutes before the train would roll out of this mystical and magical station, letting out big lots of steam on its journey.

Once she heard a whistle, probably to inform the train was departing shortly. Lily grabbed hold of her trolley and walked quickly towards the train. She suddenly tumbled down onto the floor; she bumped into someone. Her trolley just stayed there, though it moved slightly. "Hey, c'mon up." The girl said, reaching her hand down, "I'm Felicity Willows by the way." She smiled. Lily grabbed hold of her hand and clambered up to her feet. She quickly picked up Sooty, in her cage. "Um... I'm Lily. Lily Cotton," Lily muttered timidly. "Lily? That's a nice name!" Exclaimed Felicity. "Come on; you can join me on the train!" Felicity grabbed Lily's hand and pulled her up onto the train, whilst grabbing her belongings from her mother. "Whoa, slow down!" Laughed Lily, Felicity her luggage and owl cage up onto the train. Felicity took no notice, "Which compartment?" She asked, as she walked down the corridor. Lily followed her, sidestepping through, and pulling along her suitcase, the numerous corridors they past through. "This one?" Lily suggested, as she held onto the door handle. Felicity swivelled around to face Lily, "Sure." She runs up to her and Lily slid open the mahogany door, that revealed the confined space, with sofa-like seats. "My cousin, James will be joining me soon." Felicity said, sitting on the dark grey 'sofa', her dirty blonde curls flipping over her shoulders. She wore a blue denim jacket, and a pale pink top underneath, on her legs, she wore black leggings. Lily, however, was wearing a mint green top on her chest, with a candyfloss pink, cropped denim jacket above. On her legs, she wore blue denim jeans and tan brown ugg boots on her feet.

Lily placed her suitcase down on the floor, and sat back down on the seat. "James?" Lily repeats. "Who's he?" She asks. "James? James Willows? He's one of my brothers, my eldest brother in fact. Some people get him confused with James Potter, the eldest son of famous Harry Potter Surely you've heard of him..." Felicity explained. "Um. No, I haven't. I'm quite new to this magical business anyway, I'm Muggleborn..." Lily said. "My brother is in Hogwarts, but he told be nothing about it." Lily dragged her knees up to her chest and hugged her knees. "I'm Muggleborn as well, but James is in the same year as James Potter, and I found out information when James - my brother - came home." The girl said. "Lucky you, to hsve a brother to tell you everything..." Replied Lily sighing, and adjusting the owl cage onto the seat next to her.

There was sudden movement in the train; they were off to Hogwarts!
