Chapter 9: Push Ups

"Stoppp! Please just stopppp!" I whined falling on the mats.

"You have to toughen up!" Chris yelled at me,"we've only been training for 5 minutes!"

"But I'm tired."I said quietly giving him a pout.

He glared at me but gave in anyways. "Fine, you have a 10 minute break."

I smiled at him and got up from the mats. I grabbed my water bottle and gulped down half of it.

I've been training so hard I could barely walk home sometimes. Only 2 more days until the prince comes and I've been so nervous yet excited.

"Break over." Chris said walking over to where I sat.

"What that was like 5 seconds?!"

"Oh well, it's better than nothing right?" He said innocently.

I grumbled under my breath and walked over to where he was.

"Okay now do 25 push ups." He ordered.

I looked at him with a nope face and he looked back at me with an I dare you to disobey me face. We stared at each other for a while until he broke.

"Fine, 20 and I'll do it with you."

I did a mini victory dance and got down on my knees and hands. Chris did the same next to me.

"Okay get in position" he said straightening up his posture, "down, up, 1"

Ok that wasn't that bad, I can do this. I can do 20 push ups!

"Down, up, 2"

Okay, it's starting to hurt now but I can handle this.

"Down, up, 3"

Oh, oh, okay, I'm almost there, just a little mor- nope. I fell down with an exasperated sigh.

Chris looked over at me with a frown. "Get up noodle arms."

I turned my head to face him. "But.... But.... I'm tiredddd!"

He rolled his eyes and sat up. I turned over so I could lay down on my back.

"Kylie"

I turned my head to face him.

"Do you want to go get ice cream?"

I sat straight up excitedly. "Heck yea!" I answered.

He smiled at me with an evil glint in his eyes. "Great cmon lets go then."

Little did I know what was going to happen next.
