SANDSTORM'S POV

I stared after Dustpelt, my heart breaking in two. I had just admitted to him that I loved Fireheart, former kittypet and savior of ThunderClan.
I lied down and rested my head on my paws, a tear creeping out of my eye.
"Sandstorm?" A handsome ginger tomcat stepped out of the bushes, his eyes glittering with concern.
I groaned. "I don't want to talk about it, Fireheart." Fireheart rested his tail on my shoulder.
"It was Dustpelt, wasn't it?" Fireheart asked me, a sympathetic look in his emerald green eyes.
I stood up, my fur ruffled.
"Yes, it was!" I cried. "That little mange-bag!" Then I slumped onto the ground, sobbing uncontrollably. Fireheart lay down beside me, licking my ears softly. I soon fell asleep.
