Tempus est quaedam fluminis transeundi eventus , et fortes current est ; ad quam rem nihil prius visum est aliud succedit rapiantur , idque simul pereas.

Translation from Latin;
Time is a sort of river of passing events, and strong is its current; no sooner is a thing brought to sight than it is swept away by and another takes its place, and this too will be swept away. ~Marcus Aurelius

Prologue; "What?" "What did you say?" She asked 'You heard me, we are going to war, whether you like it or not. You can get your armor ready like the others, or you can cower in fear in the temples. Your choice.' She sternly answered. "What if I don't want to make a choice? What then?" She huffed out. 'Then I will escort you to a temple, since you won't join us in battle.' She answered it patiently, as though it was a stupid thing to ask. "You're just a coward! She yelled. "Sending the ones away, who don't want to fight a war, into the temples to hide from a brutal death!" *SLAP* She felt the sting on her face moments before her mind comprehended what happened. The other girl had slapped her across the face, tears sprang to her eyes but she held them abay. 'How dare you speak to me in such a way!' The girl angrily roared. She knew she had crossed the line this time. "I didn't mean that-" 'Save it! If you don't want to fight, then be a fool and try to run! You won't get too far without us though, we know this land by heart. Every inch, every rock, tree, river and path, we know it.' She silently looked down, her cheek was red and sore but all she felt was shame, she was ashamed of her words. 'The battle rages closer each day, you must be prepared to fight for your home. It will cause chaos amongst the realms, but she knows that. She's finally ready, but so are we.' Her eyes held no spark of fire as they did when she fought in the arena.....could it be.....that for once, the brave Victoria, did not feel the pleasure of a battle to be fought? If so then what were up against, scared her as well, and that worried me the most.
