"great....how are we going to get to school on time with a flat tire!?" he shouted kicking the car. "yeah I don't think kicking the car is going to get the tire fixed here"!!!! I shouted back. "YEAH well the house is 3 miles away"!!! he yelled. "so? why don't we just call a cab??" I asked confused. "CAUSE we don't have cabs in this part of louisiana!!! It's you either ride a horse to school, or you get dropped off!!!"he shouted again. "then why don't we just ditch???" I asked curiously. "BECAUSE!!!.... punctuality is a good trait, and not to mention VERY important!!"he of course shouted. "whatever!! if you say so". I said rudely. "Oh I know so!!!" he said annoyed.

I rolled my eyes and pulled out my smart phone cause we needed something smart in this situation, and I am not your definition of smart!! so thank god we have smart phones cause it would be a sad world if not.

"hey does that smart phone work any??" he asked me.

"well duh!!...It wouldn't turn on if it didn't" I  said as I rolled my eyes and showed him my phone turning on.

"whatever just let  me use the darn thing!!!" he yelled back.

"umm...NO!!! YOU TOUCH IT YOU DIE!!!!" I yelled as I pet my phone.

"yeah well if you  want to get to school on time, then I suggest you give me the phone so I can call someone". he said raising his brows and folding his arms.

"nah...I really don't give a rip if I go to school or not" I said as I gave a slight chuckle.

"just give me the PHONE!!!" he said annoyed.

"ugh fine!!!!!!!!"I yelled. 

I gave him my phone and he called his dad to pick us up. 

"okay so your dad will be here in ten minutes to pick us up and head to the farm ", liam said in an angry voice.

"REALLY!!!!?? we aren't we going to school??!!" I asked with excitement.

but then he looked at me as though he was going to take a knife out and murder me. To be honest it was quite scary.

"okay what's your deal?? why are you so upset about missing school??" I asked confused.

"the elections for vice president were today...." he said.

"vice president??? what a geek" I laughed.

then we both heard my dads truck and we looked to the left. my dad drove up to us and motioned us to come to the window. 

"okay kids...since y'all aren't going  to make it to school today...maybe the both of you could run a few errands for me....sally and lightning are in the back.."my dad demanded in the kindest way he could.

"yes mr. stevenson..."liam sighed.

"wait...why exactly are there two horses???". I asked.

"well don't you know how to ride a horse??"my dad asked.

"we-....

before I could finish what I was saying liam of course interrupted me.

"Mr stevenson, will all due respect, ruthy is from the city....shes probably never seen a horse before.."liam laughed.

"yes I have..." I crossed my arms and rolled my eyes.

"oh really??...and where was that??"he continued laughing.

"oh...you know....maybe....on tv.."I smiled and laughed with him.

"yeah...uh huh..that's what I thought!!" he laughed.
