Chapter 9: Blasphemy

Twilight decided to brief me on the situation while on the train. "Wow. I've never been on a pony train before. Say, where are we headed exactly?" I asked. "We're on our way to the Crystal Empire, Mr. Phoenix." Fluttershy said in sort of a fan-girlish tone. "Um... Fluttershy. There's something I have to tell you." I cautiously said. "Yes." She said. "I'm not actually a Phoenix. I'm a human." I explained. Though she looked rather sad she added, "Oh I know. Twilight explained everything to me after you left." She said. Well that sort of made things a little easier. "Oh yeah, why are we headed to this Crystal Empire?" I asked. "There we will further discuss the terrible problem with Princess Celestia." Twilight answered. "Oh great. I wonder how many more questions I'll have that she'll leave unanswered." I dreadfully thought to myself. "What exactly is this problem?" I asked. "Do you remember when I first summoned you to Ponyville, Phoenix?" Twilight asked. "How could I forget..." I thought to myself. "Yeah, I do." I answered. "Well, it's seems you brought along some unwanted company. My guess unknowingly." Twilight explained. "Unwanted company? The only thing that I remember seeing was the inside of a tree and a talking purple pony. Did I miss something?" I asked. "A spirit." Twilight blatantly said. "Umm..." I said. "Apparently, a spirit from your world took refuge somewhere in your body and escaped after it came to our world." Twilight said. "And how would you know that?" I asked. "Princess Celestia told me." She answered. "Princess Celestia. And how would she know that?" I badgered. "Your guess is as good as mine. Seems as if whenever a situation involves you, she becomes insanely cryptic." Twilight said. "Ok. So a spirit is loose somewhere in your world. What does this have to do with me?" I asked. "Celestia foretold that this spirit is on a crusade for power. It overtakes any being and controls all it's actions. Like a domino effect, it'll eventually lead to the destruction of both our worlds." Twilight said. "Wait. Both of our worlds?" I asked. "Yes. As it grows more powerful, it could potentially open a portal connecting three different worlds. Equestria, your world, and the spirit world. There it will be able to form an unstoppable army with the intent to destroy." She explained. I just sat there speechless, trying to wrap my head around all of this. "Celestia concluded that the only one who can stop it...is you." Twilight said as her eyes widened. I stared at her as if she was crazy. Yet again, I find myself surrounded by candy colored ponies. How much crazier can it get, right?
