Chapter Five: My Savior

After it started raining hard I heard the man run away. I sighed in relief walking out from where I was hiding. Rose is coming, so it's best if I just wait here.

Peaking my head out from the corner there was no car in sight and my body felt cold from the rain. Wrapping my arms around myself, there was something that seemed like faint footsteps but I'm pretty sure it was the rain.

Then they got louder and closer. That's when I realized they were actual footsteps. Before I could turn around I felt a arm wrap around my neck and another arm wrap around my chest.

"Thought I was gone huh?" I heard the same voice from before. It was the man, panicking I squirmed trying to break free. "Keep moving and I'll snap your neck" he said with a furious tone.

God this guy really has some issues why can't he take a hint! "Help!!! Please!!! Someone!!!" I screamed. The man covered my mouth dragging me back into the alley. He was too strong and the floor was wet so no matter how much I tried stop him with my feet they just slipped.

The man threw me on the ground pinning me on the floor. Shit shit shit shit this is not happening, this is not happening! Trying to kick the man off he put his knees on my legs making it impossible for me to move them.

Thunder roared as lightning struck. In that second I saw the mans face and I was terrified. His eyes were fully black and he looked as white as a ghost. As if he was dead.

I squirmed again with all of my strength groaning trying to break free. The man felt around my neck and ripped my shirt half open. I screamed again as he put his lips on my neck breathing hard.

Putting my hands on his shoulders I tried pushing him off but it was no use. I felt something cold sink into my neck. My eyes widened realizing what was happening. I cried out hoping someone would help me.

He was... Biting me. Not being able to move from the shock my vision blurred. The man licked my neck making a slurping noise. After he finished he brought his head up.

Lightning struck and I saw his face again as the black in his eyes slowly faded and his skin regained color. "W-What are y-you?!" I said while my breath hitched. The man looked in my eyes with an unamused face.

The mans mouth opened, but before anything could come out a pole made contact with his head making a loud sound. I lifted my body up, watching him fall beside me as blood surrounded his head. I was too shocked to move. I didn't even know who the hell hit him with the pole nor did I care. My ears rang and my vision blurred again.

I looked up to see a figure standing in front of me. It was a girl, she dropped the pole and got to my level shaking me "Melanie! Melanie! Snap out of it come on!" Her voice sounded familiar. Lightning stroke again making the light shine on the girls face. It was Rose, my eyes watered as I tried to keep my emotions in.

Rose reassured me saying everything was going to be okay. She grabbed my hand helping me up and running guiding me to a black car. Rose opened the door telling me to get in rushing to the other side.

I did what she said closing the door forgetting about my seatbelt. Rose started the car and drove off fast. Images of the mans face filled my head, as tears streamed down my face. "Hey hey Melanie it's okay. Your fine. That guy can't hurt you anymore!" Rose said with a worried voice.

There was a sharp pain in my neck. I touched that area looking at my fingers seeing blood. I could see Rose turn her head towards me.

"Oh my god I gotta get you some help" She drove her car faster to wherever she was going. In that moment my vision faded and everything went black.
