The flames burned brightly and the wailing of a small child was the only sound around besides the distant sirens from the muggle firetrucks. In the child's eyes the large dark figures were looming over her, and they only had one thing on their minds: death. The child ran as fast as her legs would carry her, she went whizzing past the low hanging tree limbs and darted past the prickle bushes. She could hear them behind her, the loud shouts and large cracking noises; she wasn't sure if that was from trees falling or from the popping in and out that her parents would do all the time.
She finally found a large tree which had a hollow beneath it, she crawled inside and refused to come out; she heard more cracks and shouts, and she covered her ears but kept watching the small hole which she had crawled through. She then noticed that the muggle sirens were loud and she knew they were near her house, she just wanted it to end and she wanted her mother and father. With those thoughts racing through her brain, she laid her head on the hard ground and fell asleep. She dreamed of her mother playing hide-n-seek with her, and then dreamed of her father hugging her telling her that everything would work out and that she was going to be okay. Then the dream turned into a nightmare, the young girl saw her parents shoving her through the back door of their house, yelling at her to run and never look back. Then she saw the large people arrive, they all were wearing scary masks and black robes; while looking out from behind a bush, the little girl heard two funny sounding words muttered twice and a green light accompanied those words; it was then that her home was set ablaze.
She awoke with a fright and started to cry, she couldn't take this anymore; the little girl crawled back out of the hollow and made her way back towards her house. It was then that two people popped in before her, a man and woman.
"Come here, love." The woman held her hand out and the young girl ran to the strange woman. The woman seemed different than those who killed her parents, the were kind and she could see that in their eyes.
"Ted, this is her; this is little Emma. I'm so happy that we found you little one." The woman looked down and smiled at the little girl, then the man grabbed the woman's hand.
"Come along, Andromeda. We need to get home, Dora will be waiting to meet little Emma." And with that they all popped out with a large crack.
This was the start of her new life, and the little girl was happy to have parents again.
