but as life goes on,
it gets duller.skies lose their color
not as bright and blueanimals lose their warmth
not so cuddly and nice
grasses lose their softness
now so hard and ruff
on your feet
summers get hotter than ever
committing sunburns and cancerburning blisters from hot pavement
winters are killingly cold
get frostbite and hypothermiafrom making what used to bring much fun
falls are for suffering
hard crisp leaves crunching on your feet
dreading the cold winter to comespring runs on the parade
floods and looking at terrible harvestsjust know the awful summers near
people lose their interest
always have a phone
'type' 'click' 'send' ' bing, bing!'life used to be so calm and cheerful
we wasted it
and all will be gone before we know it.
