Vero woke up for the second time in one day, or was it the same day? He couldn't tell. All he remembered was a man with blue hair that had hit him with a bat. Vero looked around. Where was he? Out of the corner of his eye, he saw Mr. Tack sitting in the corner of the room.
"Mr. Tack! What are you doing here!" Vero whispered loudly.
"What are you doing here Vero?"
"I was knocked out by your doppelganger with blue hair."
Mr. Tack laughed.
"You do realize I'm not-" A man with blue hair walked into the room.
"Quit the chitchat and let's go. My boss wants to see you. I am-"
Vero cut him off, "My father?"
"No, Vero you idiot I am not your father. Now get up. Boss wants you too."
"How did he know my name?" Vero thought. Vero lived only with his mother and sister. The whereabouts of his father were unknown to him. His mother had told Vero that his Dad had run off with another woman, but Vero didn't seem to buy it. He had to find his Dad.
Vero and Mr. Tack followed the man to a room labeled: BOSS HQ. The man opened the door for the two captives. Another man with blue hair sat in a chair. He turned around.
"Welcome," he said, "Do either of you know where we are?"
"No." they both said.
"Good. Now you have the choice. I can either kill you, or keep you alive.
Vero spoke first. "I'm gonna stay alive."
"Well I would rather be dead-"
Boss shot Mr. Tack in the head. Vero screamed and ran.
"GUARDS! GET HIM!"
Vero ran for the exit. He rolled under a guard's legs and continued running. He pushed through the exit and tripped. He kept rolling and rolling and rolling until he hit the base of a tree. Vero rubbed his head.
FWIP
A bullet pierced the dirt nearby. Vero got up and ran. He saw a white building about 40 yards away. He ran to the building and banged on the entrance. A bullet hit Vero, and he collapsed.
