Chapter one:Hi!

Mara's P.O.V
I was swimming one night deep in the bay of jump city. And no I'm not scuba diving believe it or not I'm a mermaid! But here's the weird part is I don't have a tail. Well I can grow a tail when I want but I like having legs and I don't go out of the water because when I do if I let my skin dry it's terrible.
Oh wait my name I never told you. It's Mara Aquason. I'm sixteen. My hair is black and wavy and goes down to my waist just above my butt. I have all black eye's even on the white parts with a blue pupil. I have a swimmers body,note my sarcasm. I'm a mermaid all I do is swim. And even though I'm in the water all the time I'm really tan. I'm also very tall for my age. I don't really eat if I ate I would eat sea weed I'm practically a fish eating something I'm like is just so wrong. Also I have powers such as:
Water manipulation.
Talking to sea creatures.
I can create a Tempest,witch is a hurricane for ones who have no idea what a Tempest is.
I can control the earth. Yeah weird.
I have fire and lava powers. Yep weird.
Lightning control.
Plant powers.
Super speed in and out of water.
And I'm a gymnastic prodigie.
And super strong like a tameranian.
Also ice powers.
Air powers.
It was late at night and I swam near the pier so I could sleep but then I heard screaming and crashing. I swam under the pier and lift my head and upper half of my tan body out of the water. I'm only wearing a short sleeve,dark blue, V neck, and black short shorts and a water prof satchel. Witch held
Black flip flop's.
A comb.
A hair ty.
And an over coat.
I swim over to the rocks under the pier and set my satchel there and set an unsteady foot on the sand. I nearly fall because I don't walk I swim. I brush it off and start running to the sounds a ton of people and running away I'm only one running forward. I stop when I see there some kind of rock monster. 'Easy' I thought to my self but. I form a fire ball about the size of a basket ball and threw it at the block head. "Yo block head!" I yelled running towards him normally. I jump in the air flipping over his head and shooting ice out of my hands to hit him in the back of his head. I land on the railing and run on it freezing him,but sadly he just broke the ice. He grabbed me in his fist and squeezes hard knocking air out of me, but I smirk I duck my head and arms in his hands and push it open "You broke the ice. Now I'm bringing the heat!" I yell as I turn my skin to fire and my hair and scorch him I'm flying in the air and he swung his fist sending me flying back out of my fire form. One have one last chance,I send lightning out of my hands zapping him. And happily he's knocked out. I brace my self for what's coming next,but the impact never happend. I now realized my eyes were shut,I opened them and see a spikey,black,haired in a white and black mask holding me. I go red in the face and say "Uh? Hi?" I focus and turn my form in to water and slip out of his arms. I reform in to my true form in front of him with my hand's on my hips. There the Teen Titans! WOW. The boys stare at me. Not to sound bratty but I know why it's my beauty mermaids are naturally beautiful. But there eyes are normal mine aren't. Also it could be my powers. "Are you going yo stare or can I go?" I say in a some what sarcastic way walking past them just when burning sensation started on my skin. Uh oh! I start running towards the water normally I jump in and know there following me. I grow my tail. My tail is pink with black swirl designe with star's and my shirt turns in to a bikini top that matches my tail and I have black and pink swirls on my stomach. I swim back up to the surface and float on my back with my arms under my head and say "Hi." I smile moving my tail side to side. They just stare in shock at me, who wouldn't. I still smile till finally Beast Boy said "Mermaid!" he said pointing at me, "Really,what gave it away?" if you haven't notice I'm really sarcastic. Then that Robin guy said "Mermaids aren't real!" now that's just mean "Now that's just mean, besides there's a changling,Cyborg,half-demon,and alien standing right next to you and I'm not real? Talk about denial." I smirk. I went under water to get my skin wet again and resurface. "I'm Mara, I already know your name's. Your the Teen Titans every one knows your names." I chirp as I extended my hand. The alien girl,Starfire flew over the water and hugged me bringing right out of the water. "Hello Mara! Please where are you from? What's your favorite color? How did you get here? And would you like to be my friend?" she said I've never had friends or even a friend this is new to me. "California,dark blue,swam,and YES!" I said hugging her back she gently set me back in the water but when she did I felt pain on my waist. I look down and see a gash on my stomach "Look I know we just met but do you have any thing for this?" I said going on my back and pointing at the gash. They all gasp, I need to get out of the water before sharks come by the scent of my blood. I swim to where my satchel is and pull my self out of the water on to a rock. I turn in to a human and step on to the sand, the Titans appear in front of me all concerned, I walk to my satchel slip it on then Raven steps forward and said "Lift your shirt I should be able to heal the gash." not a good idea "Yeah not a good idea,I don't know how my powers work but one wrong move and things could turn ugly. Besides it should have heal by now." I said they gave me a strang look and I know why "Mermaids can heal very fast but some times something goes wrong and we can't heal on our own..... Well normal mermaids can I'm really different my powers my eyes and.... Normal mermaids can't grow legs on comand let alone have leg's even in water and still be able to breath water when like a human." explain the nod as I stand but a burning sensation all over my body and my head starts pounding like crazy. I fall to my knees and and said while panting "My skins... Drying turning full.....human!" I start losing it and pass out.
