chapter three:Mermaids song.

Oceans P.O.V
I was in my room with black and blue material. I was making a costume since I didn't want to fight in my normal clothes,I made them in to a unitard. It was all black but had blue going up the side's and at the collar it was like a turtle neck but the blue showed a zigzag line as the blue surrounded my collar and on to my chest making an upside down triangle. It was the same on my feet but the blue went up to my thigh. I don't wear a mask since you know the eye's. Star and Raven were helping me make it,well finish it. I went to the bathroom and put the suit on. I came out and Star smiled widely and Raven sorta smiled. We walk out to the Op's room I was behind Star she said "introducing friend Ocean." she motioned over to me and the guys jaws dropped. "Careful you might get a nosebleed." I laughed as they turn red. My hair was down and sorta spiked at the end and it was straight not wavey and was slicked back. I walk over and plopped down on the couch,then the TV clicked on and yet again it was loud. Next thing I know I'm screaming and clinging to the ceiling. "Ieeeeeh!" I scream trembling. Then a a voice I didn't know said "Hey, Robin we have some bad news." it was a women's voice then Robin said "Hey,bumblebee what is it?" turning away from looking up at me. "Well our tower got wrecked and we were wondering if we could crash at your place till it's rebuilt?" "Sure, this will give you a chance to meet the new member of our team. What time will you be here?" he asked. "Tommorw morning. If that not to soon?" "Not at all see you when you get here. Robin out." the call ended. They look up at me again and Raven said "Are you going to do that every time the TV turns on?" "Likely." I respond as Starfire help me down. I plopped down on the couch again. I lean my head back and stare at the ceiling. I get up and walk over to the window and start to meditate. I take some water from a glass near bye and bring it towards me reshaping it over and over again while chanting "Moro,rono,tilo.". I can feel the calming of the ocean. Feel that all is right in my underwater kingdom. After what felt like an hour I stop meditating. I evaporated the water and walk to the kitchen,then cyborg came running in followed by BB. "Cyborg come back!" BB screamed "What is going on?" Robin asked them. Cy said "Oh I'll tell you what's going on... This is the best peanut brittle I've ever tasted!" he said licking the couch. Then I said "I may be a mermaid but that's just plain weird." my eyes wide. "He sorta has a virus." BB said "Beast Boy." Rodin said threw gritted teeth. Then Cy started chewing on the table then said "Thirsty now." and ran over to the sink grabbed the faucet and pulled it right out of the sink squirting water in his mouth. "Take it easy Cyborg there's something wrong we just want to help." Robin said as if he's trying not to spook a flustered sea horse. "You bet there's something wrong."Cy said looking like me when I came to Titans tower. "We need gravy and plenty of it!" he said and was about to bite Robin. He would have gotten bitten to,if I hadn't jumped in and got bitten my self. "Ieeeeh!!" I scream loudly and Cy let go and I got thrown into the wall. I get up breathing hard feeling my blood drip on to the floor,Cy bit me on the side of my stomach then ran off threw the wall and the other Titans check on me. "Friend Ocean your the bleeding!" Star screamed in horror as she got a towel for to stop the bleeding. I press it gently on the wound then Raven wrapped a bandage around the bitten area. "We gotta go after Cy." I said they nodded.
We found him eating a street sign and yet again I'm bitten. This time my shoulder, he ran off again. Then I got an idea. When we got close to him he bit my arm but I flushed his circuits with electricity. He rebooted but I was a different story. I felt full of pain and sick. Raven teleported us home and I plopped down on the couch and moan. That took so much out of me. I felt like the ocean when there's an oil spill. Let me explain I can feel the ocean. If something's wrong with it I feel it's pain. Starfire brought over some soup and handed it to me. "Thanks Star." I said before I took a sip of the soup. Yep I'm starting to feel better. A little. I finish the soup and wash the dish and walk to my room but stumble a lot. Finally Raven helped me the rest of the way to my room. I take a shower but still feel the pain,I climbed in to bed fall asleep.

I wake up because the pain is to much. It's morning now I get up and get dressed,comb my hair and slick it. I walk to the Op's room and try not to show pain. I walk in as normally as possible but only Raven is there, she looked up and almost screamed. I raise an eyebrow and make a mirror out of ice. I drop it causing it to shadder. Because you can see the veins in my face. And there black. The pain doubles up. And I can't take it. I turn and run. I kept running til I'm at the water edge. I jump in to the air and changed in to a mermaid. But my pink tail is now slick black. I hit the water and swim away as fast as I could,I keep swimming til at a trench. I then start singing the mermaid's song. You can just think of the most beautiful voice ever heard and the sound of it singing. Anyway I sang it and other Mer's come and circul me. There helping me heal myself. I soon fell asleep by the sound of a mermaid that had brown eye's,blond hair,and a aquamarine,and purple tail singing to me to calm me.

I wake up and it's night time. The Mer's that helped are gone. I look at my tail it's a crisp white so is my top. I move it around as the color comes back. I swim back towards the tower slowly because I still feel a little sick. I lift my head out of the water and pulled my self on to a rock. I start singing a soft song to pass time while my skin dries. I sing like Ariel from the little mermaid but softer and sung differently. I was lost in my song till finally I felt someone's presents. I turn and see a guy. He had long black hair,a blue,black,and white unitard. And... The same eye's as me. But his pupils are white. I jump from the rock and back in to the water. I still had my tail so yeah. I was a little startled I turned to swim away... But then a voice in my mind said 'wait!' it was a guy's voice. I turn and see it's him, I then said in my mind 'Who are you!' it came out a bit harsher than I intended but I knew something was wrong. I felt a pain in my tail. As if something was clamped around it. I look down and see a net wrapped around it. I untangle it a use my powers it put it on land. I look down again and.. The scent of blood entered my nostrils. It's coming from my tail. I panick and torpedo out of the water and on to land. While changing in to a human in mid air. I crash on to the ground get up and run. I burst in to the Op's room and flip on to the couch. Everything I went through I can't tell you how tired I was. I snuggle into the interior yawning prepared to get some well earned sleep. I close my eye's. But then my communicator started beeping. I growled and answer it
Me:Hello?
???:OCEAN!!
Me:that's my name don't wear it out.
I heard people in the background say "she answered!? Is she OK?"
???:Ocean are you alright? Raven saw you this morning why was your face like that?
Me*thinking it's Robin* yeah hello to You to Robin.
R:yeah sorry hi.
Me:I'm fine I just needed to heal my self. When's that other team suppose to get here?
R:They came while you were gone. Were at the pizza place now we'll bring you home some. Bye Ocean.
Me:Bye Robin.
I hang up and snuggled in to the couch. Then I feel some one else in the room. 'It's just silkie.' I thought. I sit up and look over my shoulder and seeing the guy again. In the living room. I scream and get ready to attack. "Woah! Easy,steady. I won't hurt you. I'm Aqualad." he said gently. Coming around the couch so he was next to me. I went out of my defensive pose and look at him. I then said "I'm Ocean." I said quietly he smiled I returned it. "Um? Howed you get in here?" I asked. I've never seen him before. "I'm part of Titans East. And I should be asking:are you a mermaid?" he said. I had a feeling I could trust him. I focus and like always my leg's as gone and I'm a mermaid. I flop on the couch and look at my tail. It was once again a fluorescent pink and deep black. I blush a deep red because I only have a tail and a bikini top. I pull my self up in a sitting position and pull a blanket over my shoulders "Does that answer your question?" yep. I'm sarcastic. I take a breath and grow leg's. He sits down next to me and we just talk. It turns out Robin had him stay here incase I came back. And he heard me singing and came to investigate. He said my singing was beautiful. Which made me blush. I now noticed we were really close. Kissing close. He noticed to. We lean towards each other. But then a burning sensation starts. I shrank back and groan as my skin glows sunset orange. And.I.Can't.Breath. He notices and asked "What can I do?" he was worried "Make..It.. Stop." I whimper. Turning into a full human was never a picnic for me. He just brought me into his embrace and said in a soothing,calming,voice. "Shhh. It's ok just breath. Just breath." he stroked my long black hair. I take in deep breaths and slowly the pain went away. My head sunk on to his shoulder relieved that it was over,and embarrassed that he watch me turn full human. "You alright?" he asked "Yeah,turning full human is exhausting. And hurts. Alot." I said. I get up and get some water. "So what's your real name?" Aqualad asked "Mara Aquason." I said honestly. Wait I just told him my real name. What's up with me? "Garth Waters." he said. I smiled and drank my water. We talked more. About were we came from,how we lost our family's. Well his family. I tryed telling my story but I kept opening my mouth and nothing came out. I finally got to telling the story but I couldn't talk because of the constant break out of tears. "Hey, you don't have to continue. Its not right for a mermaid to cry. Besides You can tell it when your ready." he spoke gently wrapping me in a hug. I snuggle closely not wanting this moment to end.
But sadly everything can't last forever. The door opened "Hey Ocean were-Whoah! Um.. Are we interrupting?" Cyborg asked as me and Aqualad pulled apart. I blush a furious red color. "No!" I squeak now seeing all of them. There's Bumblebee,Speedy,Flame,Más y Menos. (A/N:Yeah I'm adding Flame. Speedy and Flame forever! :-) )
"Hey don't sweat it! Speedy and Flame were kissing ten hours after they met." Bee chuckled. "Bee!" Speedy and Flame shout in sync. Flames hair flared up into fire as her face turned as red as her lips. Bee giggled but stopped when she saw a ticked off Flame. Speedy quickly grabbed Flames hand and that seemed to snap her out of her trance. She smiled brightly at me and said "Nice to meet you." and we shook me hands. Next was Speedy "Hey Ocean. Nice to see unitard guy got a girlfriend." with a smirk. My face was on fire and Aqualad yelled "SHE'S NOT MY GIRLFRIEND!!!!!!" I face fell but I quickly blush to cover it. After Más y Menos said hello in spanish which I know me and Aqualad ate and we all watch a horror movie. Well the twins didn't stick around they ran right after the trailer. I was terrified,but sadly unlike Starfire,Bumblebee,and Flame I didn't have anyone to hold on to. At the scariest part I clung to Aqualad. I was shocked when he held me tightly, I fitted perfectly into his arm's. We stayed like that till the end of the movie, when the lights came back on my face was in the croak of his neck and I was out like a out light.
Aqualad's P.O.V
Ocean. I thought. Maybe. Speedy has Flame. Robin has Star. Cyborg has Bee. BB sorta has Rae.
I heard a light snore as the lights came back on. I saw Flame was paler that usaul and had he arm's around Speedy's neck for dear life. But nobody was asleep. I heard the snoring near my ear, I looked down at a sleeping Ocean. My cheeks heated up because her face was in the croak of my neck and I got smirks from everyone in the room. "She's out cold." Robin stated as he and Star got up and walked out along with Flame and Speedy,followed by Rea and BB. Cy and Bee got up and Cy said on there way out. "Her room's near the med bay. G'night." we were alone.
I felt her shiver, I pick her up bridal style and walk out of the Op's room after hitting the light's. I walk threw the dimmly lit corridor. Suddenly Ocean raised her hands and wrapped them around my neck. I look at her,her eyes were closed she muzzled her head into me chest sighing happily. I get to a room that had the name OCEAN carved into it. I open the door and walk in. I pull back the covers on the bed and set her down. I cover her up and turn but whip around again am when I hear her whimper. She was crying in her sleep. I shake her awake.
