"Morning sunshine!" a familiar voice escorts through one ear and out the other as I tossed and turned in my bed. "C'mon sweetie, you're going to be late for your audition."
MY AUDITION!!!
I hope out of bed and rushed to the bathroom before stopping in my foot steps and walked back to my mother who was standing there with a white, fluff robe on, holding a plate of gluten-free waffles. I reached over took a bite and kissed her on the cheek. "Thanks Momma," I grinned then ran back into the bathroom.
"Okay," I said aloud looking around my bathroom seeing a mess all over the bathroom sink of my hair products, makeup, hair appliances, ect. "MOM!" I yelled as I heard little footsteps running back into my room and into my bathroom.
"Yes sweetie."
"I need your help," I whined as I looked up at her with puppy dog eyes.
"Get in the shower and I'll clean up this mess," she laughed looking around. I giggled back as I ran into the hall to grab a towel as I ran back in to start the shower. I stripped and went as quickly as I could to wash my hair, body, and do all of the essential body care that us girls do in the shower. But I won't get into that detail. I hopped out as my mother had the whole bathroom spotless.
Wow, I knew she was a neat freak but I didn't know she could clean that fast. She handed me my silk, Victorious Secret pink robe as I rushed back in my room to check the time. "9:34!" I gasped as I rushed back into the bathroom and did my makeup as it was drying in a towel. Simple foundation, mascara, and brows is all I normally do for a natural look on a casual day. I blow-dried my hair and stuck it in a bun and ran to my room to put on some cloths. My mother eventually left while I was doing my makeup. I grabbed Pink capris leggings and a large (not too large) t-shirt and I rushed out of the house and threw on my sneakers and picked up my bag that I put together the night before because 'Nobody ain't got time for that!'
I grabbed my keys to my red Chevrolet Colbalt LT and drove to Starbucks and got myself a 'tall fat free Vanilla Latte'.
Finally arrived at the studio as I rushed myself inside as I scooped my way through the door without making a huge scene. They already started the auditions which made me stomach sink and my heart racing. I slowly tried closing the door but I got caught by the loud, squeaky door.
Everyone stopped dancing and looked up at me. "And your name is...?" A young man (probably in his mid-20s) yelled across the room.
"Tamiko," I said shyly setting my stuff down in the back of the room.
I watched him scroll through his clipboard. "Ah, here we go, Christina Tamiko," he said looking up. I obviously knew he was gay by his stamina and by the way he was speaking.
"It's Tina," I said shyly looking at the ground.
"All right Tina," he said setting the clipboard down. "You're setting yourself short by getting here late."
"I know and I apologi--,"
"NO! NO! NO! NO! NO! NO" He yelled which made me nervous. "You young lady..." he said pointing his finger at me and walking towards me which caused me to move back because he soon became very close. "There is no apologizing in here! NO MISTAKES! NO BACK TALK! And certainly, no tardy's!" he said walking back up to the front of the room.
I was shocked. All I did was stand there and stare out in a distance.
"Hey, are you okay?" this girl with blond hair said coming up from behind me.
"I don't know..." I said looking down.
"Trust me, he can't do anything to you. The only thing he can do is not have you make the dance crew." She paused. "I'm Rydel!" she said with her hand out in gesture for us to shake hands.
